I see. We only have the CCTV of claudia returning home from work on the wednesday? I cannot believe that there are no other CCTV recordings in evidence that show claudia.

Dont forget when Peter Lawrence is narrating that footage of Claudia walking past Melrosegate Post Office and posting the letter he says 'and this is someone that looks like Claudia'
Its obvious they footage has been edited. prior to posting the letter the figure appraoching the letterbox is actually walking backwards!!
Peter Lawrence did not commit himself to confirm the female posting was Claudia... In my opinion it wasnt Claudia

So if she left for work that it was-

a. In a different car
b. From a different location
c. On foot but she disappeared very quickly thereafter

Where is the nearest cctv point to her house on her normal route? Melrosegate?

d. she had disappeared on the evening of the 18th

There was a cctv camera on a property opposite her house which had been installed by the owners due to garden ornaments being stolen/vandalised
There was a cctv camera at costcutters ... it appears this camer did not reach to the pavement on the opposite side of the road.
There was cctv on the forecourt of the shell garage.. this also may not had a view past the forecourt area.
There was cctv at Melrosegate post office.

If there was any cctv cameras that may have been sited on private or business premises along the route no mention has been made of them

I never said she was on minimum wage.

We don’t know her parents helped her to buy.

I have plenty of money and I chose not to run a car at all. Having money does not equate to having a new model car. The car wasn’t all that old in any event, not at the time.
Respectfully, you said 'just above minimum wage'. How do you know this to be true? I am certain that her parents helped with the initial purchase, (I'll see if I can find the link to support this). In regards to her car - what year was it?

Umm - but wasn't this CCTV together with the CCTV from the Uni? Same clothing, same hair etc?

I don’t think her vehicle was off the road through lack of money, I got the impression it was in for repair. So she walked to work instead.

Its questionable that a new engine replacement would take weeks

Wouldnt her car insurance covered her for a replacement car and if it did why did she choose not to use it

Insurance cover typically provides a replacement vehicle for damage caused by an accident. Perhaps whatever was wrong with Claudias car was through wear and tear and therefore no replacement vehicle.

I have plenty of money and I walk to work daily.

With respect this walk was 1.2 miles and at 5.15 - 5.30am in the morning in March.
If she had been taking that walk at 8.15 - 8.30am it would have been thought twice about but both parents offered her a means of transport which shows they must have has some concerns of her taking that walk at that time of the morning.

No. You are now going into the realms of fantasy. Can you support this?

The realms of covert operations maybe but not fantasy Im afraid.

Would you hesitate in recognising your daughter from the footage at Melrosegate Post Office?

Its my opinion that CL was being protected and the people seen around her at the Uni can be seen elsewhere in other footage for this purpose, the date of the 18th is in my opinion a critical date.

Imo

thanks, but cannot read it without signing up. Having 'Investments' does not mean you have ready access to cash though.

The reference is to investments of Isa's and stocks in the article.

Perhaps I misread ?

Yes I said I think she disappeared on 18th. I was musing what the options were if she left for work on 19th as the police seem to think.

I walk well over a mile every morning and home again. I have done for 7 years. It’s not a big deal to me. Admittedly not at 5am but I would do. I walk home from work at night so it’s no real difference.

But didn’t a neighbour say she said hello to her?

Claudia Lawrence – The York Woman Who Went Missing Near Her Favourite Pub

The questions remain endless. We know that Claudia made it to work on the 18th of March, 2009. CCTV at the University of York's Goodricke College captured her arrival at 5:57AM. Then, at 2:31PM, she was seen embarking on the three-mile walk back home. Claudia's car was in the garage for repairs at the time. She'd been walking to and from work that week. That particular afternoon, a female colleague picked her up and gave her a lift. Shortly after arriving home she left again and was seen posting a letter outside the parade of shops near her house. She had a conversation with a woman with a pram and passed The Nags Head, before her last confirmed sighting at 3.05PM. Then the speculation started.
