LE forensicated CL's house and reportedly found nothing. At some point she obviously must have left the house. Due to the fact that she no longer responded to text messages after 9pm and that it is reported she was normally quick to do so my belief is that she was abducted around 9pm on that evening. But in which direction did she leave her house? As there is a main road at the front of her house and she wasn't seen to leave it by this way my guess is she left by the rear exit. From there? As she was unspotted by the CCTV coverage of the side road it would appear she didn't leave by this route. So did she head to the pub? Apparently she wasn't seen there that evening so presumably not. My guess is that she was abducted out the back of her house across the alleyway into another property and whatever happened occurred there or more likely she was then taken out the front of the other property to some other place where whatever occurred happened. I would be interested to know what would be the potential for her being spotted in terms of CCTV coverage and traffic if she was indeed further abducted out the front of this potential other property?

Is the general feeling still that the police basically know who did it? But that they are unable to get enough to charge anyone?
From what I have followed with this case for a few years now that basically seems to be the most popular thoery I have seen get pushed.
Also I have been to York a few times in general seems to be what the local theory is.

I’ve just read a lot of previous threads on this case and refreshed my memory..
what you have said would seem to be true. Or very likely. I’d guess that anyone who could give the police what they need is scared to do so.

Not sure whether they know who did it but I think they are confident there are plenty of people who have relevant information but either are too scared to impart it or are associated with the events in some way.
Thanks, didn't know there was a new episode out. Listened to the rest last year. I found episode 5 which centres mainly around her father quite disturbing. There's a lot of stuff in that episode and references to other things they decided not to include because they couldn't verify them. Not sure what others think but I felt there was a strong undercurrent to that particular episode where they were pushing it as far as they could and hinting at something without saying it. It covered a lot of ground and areas but I still felt there was something else they were hinting at. Certainly Claudia's friend's response when simply asked what Peter was like was very odd.'Ep. 9

That is the only episode I listened to and I decided after that, not to listen to further episodes. The claims made against PL by JL were untrue and could easily have been verified as untrue by the 'journalist'.
I think we are going round in circles .
All these things get brought out again and again because the police never seem to come back to the informant denying or confirming what they’ve done with the info !
Give you one personal example : police interviewed me 3 years after CL disappeared.
Then about 3 weeks later I ring one of the officers re update and get told
my info is still relevant .
And I think I’m luckier than most … got some sort of a response .
I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a hopeless case until someone stands up saying they’ve killed her or partner repeating what they actually know and not hearsay !

Then years later ( encouraged by a WS member) I recontact cold case with more or less the same information and subsequently get told yes my info is still relevant!
