My first post here. Ive been reading the opinions and looking at the bus footage. I think Blonderabbit you're correct with a possible body in the outside garden.
Blonderabbit, in light og these finding do you think this case will ever be solved?
Well when I first looked at the case many years ago - I thought there was a possibility but small. I think over the years, some sleuths which have come along with some totally whacky posts have actually provided new thought. I will name one such person “keep it real” they suggested the bus cctv was a game changer and although I couldn’t get my head around his suggestions they did provide with some tips regarding viewing visual information. It started to make me think that there was a possibility that more information was available than first thought.

I think since Christmas 2022 I have thought on a number of occasions that yes this could be solved. I don’t think the team are a million miles away and also just being able to rule out a morning scenario and focus on the bus cctv - Heworth between 7.00pm to 9.30pm is where your answers lay in my opinion. There’s people on this thread who have a good idea what happened but wouldn’t want to stand up
In court I’m sure .

Good points here. Im thinking alleyway man was looking around the back of CL house to confirm CL was at home in the evening on 18/03/09, he went into the back alley to see if her kitchen light was on. He then verified this to the other perpetrators who inturn arranged to go to CL house and to park up outside then surprise confront her at 9pm at her front door. From there the situation escalated on her doorstep and it all happend quickly inasmuch CL was taken into the SUV along with her phone and as I believe as it was planned, her racksack was taken too. This would tie in to make it look she had left for work the next morning.
Alleyway man then returns the next morning to check on the house - lights are off etc.
Of course this is just a scenario but pausable nonetheless. The other issue which foxws me is what was the motive?
I really hope the team make some progress in 2023.
One more question, do you think anything was actually found at Sand Hutton to warrent such a large search with all those officers for two weeks - as surely this couldnt of been on a tip off alone?

I’m not sure re Sand Hutton, I have been over the area myself with a dog , Sand Hutton is a large area and the search only covered around a third of it, so I can only believe it was specific intelligence. If I was looking at disposal on Sand Hutton I wouldn’t have put it where they searched. There is also a large area of military land which is preferable not far from Sand Hutton - which again I’d think preferable. Interesting theories - you certainly could be right re alleyman - I think it’s good to think simply if you can - and yes checking light are off is a possibility. I agree definitely planned. I’m thinking Friday 13th in the nags somehow sets the ball rolling. One final point is JK - if you look at her in past interviews she doesn’t speak like she would perhaps in normal conversation, she speaks slowly, carefully thinking about what she is saying - if you had nothing to hide I think you’d speak more fluidly. Even Cooper to a degree is the same.

I do lean towards this theory, and some excellent info to back up. Downsides ….. high risk location, high risk time of day. Who were the neighbours, would car with headlights above the wall height cause neighbours to look out. The car was on the pavement? - which would block pedestrians?
maybe an accident - hence the 30 minutes the SUV was there….. blind panic …..

I think most would have curtains closed, it would have been dark, there’s a pub up the road so noise outside could have been a regular activity. It looks like she was quickly overcome - I’m of the thinking alleywayman was already inside when she called mum and dad - seems coincidental if they were lucky when she was off the phone to attack - she could have been strangled no chance of making a noise - maybe not even much of a chance to realise anything was happening

Sorry guys but I am going to be devil's advocate here. I have looked at the stills and footage numerous times, with the best resolution on my laptop. If we cannot satisfactorily identify a make of car, I don't see how we can be sure we are seeing a body. Once you have decided it is a body your brain takes over and that is all you see. For me it is still too obscure and blurry to define what it is, could be just a reflection.

If something happened on Frida 13 others would most probably be aware of it and subsequently informed the police?
Allyman man is the mystery boyfriend ( imo ) simply trying to contact her perhaps before she went away for a weekend … having booked Friday off ?
Did he find out she was about to Fly to Cyprus without him ?

And certainly bad planning if it was planned so many people around !

Still strange parking on the pavement close to no 48 - bound to stir interest.
I still can’t work out how no 48 didn’t hear anything - strange layout - no garden - flying free hold/lease. Bedroom of n0 48 above cl living room. Anyone know who was living at 48?

why should we be privy to no 48 having heard anything ? They could have contacted police anonymously .

Just commenting on the position and fact the suv is parked on the pavement close to n0 48 - so probably visiting no 48.
if anything happened in cl home - it was heard at no 48 - or a big risk it would be heard - due to the arrangement of the two houses …… flying free hold.

I hope your great effort in this case bares fruit soon!
But re JK and SC having to think before they speak ( and infront of the media we all know what they’re like )would be under advice by the police not to give out confidential information!
I was surprised when years ago I was adviced not to go on her father’s website!

Well because that would narrow down a time and place for police to appeal for witnesses. For example they wouldn't need to say who reported it, just witnesses reported unusual activity/noise etc in Heworth rd at 9 pm. Given how many houses and how busy the rd is, no one could single out a particular neighbour.

You think the origins which correlate with the motive stem from Friday 13th at the NH? Was this the last day CL was in the NH and was also drunk? What do you beleive the motive is?

I think its best to try and think simply when looking at all this. Of course my aforementioned theory could be wrong, but with alleyway man initially surveying the area/house then confirming to the perpetrators CL was at home i highly suspect the perpetrators agreed to go to her house at 9pm and overpower her. The SUV had been used as its a large vehicle with a flatbed and would easily move her body (apologies for being so graphic).

At 9pm on a midweek dark March evening most people are at home watching tv etc. As you say Blonderabbit any noise outside would of been a put down to regular activity at the pub a few doors down. The perpetrators would be brazen enough to carry this out, afterall they have been brazen enough in police interviews.
Is there any other footage which could trace where the SUV went?

I agree with you re JK and to a degree SC. Aside from the speech patterns my intuition tells me their eyes say it all especially JK. My gut says there is a lack of sincerity a certain coldness, a void. I think they know more than what they let on, and if they do what a heavy burden to carry. Also telling is how much they've aged - all the stress and worry perhaps?

A High SUV pulling up within feet of my window - would certainly cause me to look out - unless I was aware/in on it and knew why it was there. Not even double glazing would stop me. Just saying.

This period on sleuths (perhaps the last six months) has given me a confidence that we have many sleuths that want to solve this mystery. On review anyone new coming to this can see various posts by Raffy, Shadwell, Bryter, Prickly that demonstrate clever thinking and deduction. What’s needed now is the material evidence - so I’d say to anyone looking in on this - any text, any pictures relating to the 18th March 2009 from a reliable source please share it with us - it really could be the piece of the puzzle that brings this to closure.

You assume JK has a conscience. If she had she wouldn't be living opposite Claudia's house with PR. That in itself is a message to the community.

48 has a strange layout in comparison to 46. How the roof space is shared or overlaps concerns me.
