I might also add that at the time JK lived there, the apartments were not all occupied and so it is likely that the few people who lived there knew each other, at least to speak to. I don't believe that you could live there on a barmaids salary alone-Did JK have other work / income?
Food for thought.

Didn’t she have network 1 then?
According to companies house she didn't become director till 2014, left 2015.
Theres nothing listed before this, just after and current, though nothing to say she wasn't working for someone aswell as being barmaid I guess.

Reading here about possible other crimes going on around there at the time. I have to assume undercover police activity before and after the murder!
Fox should be investigating the Force . Over 100 officers involved at the time .How many of them asked the wrong questions? How many of them did not jot down answers to their questions?
I know of at least two interviewing me !!
Surely some of these 100 must have had other investigations going on .
Could some of them drifted away from Claudia’s ( possible ) murder?
In their defence it was a missing person investigation to begin with .

Now this is in an interesting read!
Found a meeting of Heworth local community when they funded a feasibility study of putting the CCTV outside Costcutter, which was "to discourage drug dealing".

Think about it - at least two men are involved in murdering Claudia Lawrance - it looks to be planned, no questions asked. This isn’t just about a girl who’s had to much to drink and been indiscreet about a relationship - this is a significant matter to warrant this kind of organised violence on which pretty much is a defenceless young woman
Agree, if that is what happened. I think that leaves some doubt that any of Claudia's friends were involved unless you can come up with a strong motive, I'm not seeing one yet. Are the perpetrators local or County Lines drug gangs or Claudia's friends? Not seeing any link between these as yet.

Guessing the nags would be busy on race days …. A stop over pub for coaches?
Also a large student pollination close by. Easy to see the attraction for certain gangs.

The more I think about it all the more it appears to be seasoned criminals involved. Not a sloppy crime or one of opportunity.
We know there was a pattern of crime in the area, a network of individuals (how many and how far it reached unclear) and a potential melting pot for it all in NH. just how exactly CL was involved and how deeply, remains uncertain. There’s a huge black hole regarding how CL was connected to these people and in what way.
Unless she wasn’t. And all this activity is just a distraction running concurrently to her disappearance.

Or somebody liked her connections

imho the fact there wasn’t a clear Forensic trail and no body there must have been dodgy people advising or had knowledge on how to cover their tracks. The (almost) 48 hours from the phone call to her mum and when the ‘good samaritans’ went looking for her in her home is also dodgy imho as I know first 48 hours are critical to establishing truth

Agreed. And it all begs the question Why?
What motive? Which I know was mentioned earlier and must be one of the reasons NYP have been unable to convict so far. They may have an idea of who could have been involved but why and how still must be harder to ascertain.

IIRC, at one point early in the investigation there was mention of DNA being found on a cigarette butt in Claudia's car. At the time, police said they didn't know who that belonged to.

There have been great advances in the intervening years with regard to DNA testing, particularly "forensic genealogy." It seems to be used a lot in the country I'm located in, with great success, but what is the situation in the UK? Is this something being utilized for cold cases? Is it used at all for that matter?

Just curious.
