Wheelie bins existed in YORK on Heworth Rd, as seen opposite the crime scene back in AUG 2008 <
When I say 'crime scene' I mean ONE of the places of DUBIOUS ACTION.

Can even see both GARDEN BIN and REFUSE BIN right across the road from where it all happened.

Isn't that a student property owned by PR? Only using it as reference.

I'm quite saddened to hear you "saw no evidence of wheelie bns"... especially when the pictures are clear, not fuzzy ...and are taken in daylight by professional cameras.

Bus stops both sides of the road - what time did the bus pass the other side?

In a press article one of Cyprus guys was interviewed and said that he passed by York o th way to the Ports with the convoy. I believe that they stopped at Liverpool. This being a little strange as coming from Glasgow to Liverpool makes sense but then if you took the simplest route from Liverpool you would take the M62 and come out much further South on M1.

Why would you pass York??

If coming from Edinburgh you would, but less likely from Glasgow or Liverpool on the West Coast.
Hi Woodburnbay
Its interesting that the Cyprus 4 dont get much investigation on web sleuths. Almost dismissed Hell of coincidence that they happened to be passing and not in Cyprus on the very day CL went missing. Surely you could buy a transit van cheaper than coming all the way to England through other countries and on roads and ferries. Must be a hell of a discount.

Depends what they were carrying and was the cargo more important than the vehicle discount?

I would be interested to know if other sleuths consider the connection with Cyprus (Pathos) and the Glasgow van purchase visit on the 28th in the UK, (the same day as Claudia went missing) to be closed and that we need not pursue that line of enquiry any longer?

No but you might make a detour....

Yes, I would have though it would be strictly either/or with Liverpool and York. From Glasgow you could go down the West coast on the M6 to Birmingham or cut across the A66 to join the A1 at Scotch Corner, but you’d be putting on a lot of extra miles to pass near to both places.

It's possible they wanted right hand drive vans as in Cyprus they drive on the left same as the UK. Maybe the price difference between here & Cyprus made it worthwhile although I have no idea if that would be the case.

More on BINMAN (with Watch) and SCOOTER MAN who pulls out of Limes Court (lights off) in front of bus.

Am I right in saying the person's wrist-watch appears 14 mins slow? Showing 8:47pm when mirrored (This is open to interpretation) it may give away a suspect... them owning such a watch or being the one always 15 mins late?

Erm, not being funny but how on earth can you see a wristwatch time on this footage?! JMO MOO

Ref Material: BUS CCTV footage released by Police.
Spec. at the time 21:01:41

AMENDMENT: After doing the above analysis in more detail...The more I look into this the more I now see that BIN MAN's watch is totally correct. His hour hand is actually casting a shadow (one i thought was the min hand - the one I made blue ) and I now see the minute hand too (which is also casting a shadow too). His watch is spot-on and totally correct.

And the BUS WINDSCREEN acts like a convex lens magnifying things and they become MUCH LARGER than you would ever expect...esp when you are right beside it and you are illuminated and your surroundings are darker than the illuminated surface(s) being magnified and reflected.

SOURCE: BUS CCTV released by POLICE.
No one has ever mentioned anything about this MOTORCYCLIST that pulled out almost invisibly infront of the BUS. Maybe they dont know that this happened until I enhanced it, just now.

No lights on?? And then went around the roundabout the wrong way???
Long time listener, first time poster. The motorbike going the wrong way around the roundabout. Interesting as, whilst it is still clearly going the wrong way around the roundabout, it is also a short way to get onto Stockton Lane if you’re in a rush, not easy to get around that roundabout in a rush on a motorbike from Heworth Road and onto Stockton Lane, you’re coming right back on yourself making it a tight turn. <modsnip> Also if you were wanting to get to Stockton on the Forrest without triggering ANPR cameras then this is one route you could take to avoid the A1036 and the A64. It is also possible to get back around to Murton Lane, off which is Outgang Lane which, IIRC, has appeared as a place of interest in the past, if you wanted a more quiet route rather than going through Tang Hall estate.

TLD are you enhancing these stills with software? You're finding some exceptional details.

Shotcut (a program to view, rotate, zoom, it's a pretty Pro program for FREE) and Jacq Paint Shop Pro 8 for adding wording etc. 'Shotcut' allows one to TAP THROUGH the Police footage a frame at a time. To scrub back and forth etc.

After initial rotation... and zooming in... all frame enhancements are 'brightness' and 'contrast' only... I do not alter any artefacts (video informaton) I keep it true to the released data.

Pick an 8th of the screen ZOOM IN and go through it. REPEAT. I'm a Geek

The bus passed the other side at 19.52 and 20.52 (843) Scarborough to Leeds. The bus passed near Claudia's house at 20.12, 20.32 and 21.32 (843) Leeds to Scarborough. It looks like the bus was late or the bus CCTV time was inaccurate.
