Good points here. Im thinking alleyway man was looking around the back of CL house to confirm CL was at home in the evening on 18/03/09, he went into the back alley to see if her kitchen light was on. He then verified this to the other perpetrators who inturn arranged to go to CL house and to park up outside then surprise confront her at 9pm at her front door. From there the situation escalated on her doorstep and it all happend quickly inasmuch CL was taken into the SUV along with her phone and as I believe as it was planned, her racksack was taken too. This would tie in to make it look she had left for work the next morning.
Alleyway man then returns the next morning to check on the house - lights are off etc.
Of course this is just a scenario but pausable nonetheless. The other issue which foxws me is what was the motive?
I really hope the team make some progress in 2023.
One more question, do you think anything was actually found at Sand Hutton to warrent such a large search with all those officers for two weeks - as surely this couldnt of been on a tip off alone?
You say Allie man went round the back to check on the house but he ( they ) would have her house keys won’t they ?

I have some questions that have probably been answered but I can't seem to find the answers for:

1. How often did Claudia visit the Nag's Head?
2. When was she last confirmed to have visited?

To me it does revolve around this pub because depending on the answers to the first two questions..

3. Was she avoiding the Nag's Head?

Hi!

1. It was her local, only a few doors down and she was there a lot, her friend Jen King was a barmaid there for a while too.

2. She was last seen at the Nag's Head pub on Cheltenham Gold Cup Day, a week prior to her disappearance, on March 13, 2009. There was apparently a huge argument regarding her and a particular gentleman who was one of the 4 arrested. It’s believed she said something to him that could have been enough to trigger her dissapearance. Either blackmail or the common theory is she told him to leave her the hell alone, and his ego couldn’t handle it , and being embarrassed in a pub full of people

3. In my opinion, absolutely she was avoiding it. She went out after that incident in pubs in Malton which were a lot further away, and stayed away from the Nags Head and particular people who frequented it.

My belief is that her dissapearance isn’t just solely linked to the pub itself, but the pub incident was possibly the catalyst to her demise as well as other things which I’m not privy to, but the police probably are

Was there ever a thorough statement from the police on why the Pubs CCTV was switched off the night of her disappearance? I heard it wasn't the first time it happened, but I'd love to know how frequently and the reasons why it was turned off.

I don’t think there has ever been a statement from the police regarding this but don’t quote me on it as I’d have to look into it more to be sure. Most of what I’ve read is just gossip, rumours and well thought out suggestions as to why it may have been switched off.

I believe the pub could have had a lot of drug usage or drug deals perhaps taking place inside and in the car park, there were also suggestions of people visiting the pub by car and driving home, obviously intoxicated as it was a popular pub and because the CCTV frequently faced the car park, the owner did not want to be liable for customers who had a drink and then drove home, so the safest option was to turn it off altogether.

Also, if you’re of the mindset of wanting to “off” Claudia, knowing that the CCTV is switched off is completely benefiting the perpetrators here.

I’m always of the mindset that the pub could be involved somehow in regards to the car park, it’s an ideal way to take or remove a person through as it’s dark, no cctv, slightly isolated and only able to be viewed by houses in the vicinity but the odds of seeing anything would still be slim and you’d have to be lucky to witness anything of merit.

The car that brakes early morning after her dissapearance always creeps me out by how fast it’s going then suddenly braking, and I do genuinely believe it turned into the nags car park , possibly to collect something, or someone ? but that’s just my theory.

I feel for the poor girl , she clearly got in with the wrong crowd and never deserved anything like this, as no woman does, and her poor Mum never getting answers is heartbreaking.

Hopefully one day this case gets put to bed, for all of us who have spent so long following it
