I would say so yes, he was like a teen around her at times

Do you have a definite suspicion of who you think is most likely to have done this? Or do you think it could be any one of them or even a combination and one is as likely as the next?

Well the Nags Head appears to be either the murder scene or the body holding area.
With Ray being away this presents either a pre-meditated opportunity at the pub or the scene for some "Tom foolery"
I don't understand why George Foreman was not one of 4 arrested as the combination of the pub and the clearing out of the mattress from one of the rooms the following day "stinks".
Did Ray notice something upon his return from holiday that made him suspicious?
Then the Dark persons and light persons evening and morning almost confuse or confirm things for me.
They turn what could be something that went wrong that night into a Premeditated action.

It's almost as though the arrested 4 are covering for a guilty 5th.
But in the end I do believe the 4 had a role in this and if they cleared up then they are still accessories in the eye of the law.
The answer to your question, sorry so long winded, lies in them being someone powerful enough to get the others to perform a duty and then to stay quiet for so long.

We have been told on multiple occasions that the arrested 4 are guilty of nothing more than caring about Claudia and being her friend. Well let's take another look at this article and consider, were these the actions of people who cared deeply about their missing, presumed murdered friend?

Today a close friend revealed how prior to the arrests the group of men had all run a sweepstake taking bets on which of them would be the first to be arrested by North Yorkshire Police.

Ray was on holiday in Tunisia when Claudia went missing? Is that RB talk or an extract from Gone? Both? I personally haven't ruled out Rodney Ballard or whoever was pretending to be him as a suspect.

That means the B&B rooms were potentially completely empty when she disappeared. The perfect moment to abduct Claudia and ferry her out to NH carpark or lure her there before ambushing.

Most regulars would know Ray had planned a holiday, and that he lived in one of the vacant rooms. She disappeared so soon after he went away.

The perps wanted people to make the link between Ray's absence and Claudia's disappearance.

Whatever happened to Claudia was accidental and the triangulating factor is that all the B&B rooms were known to be empty at that time.

Observant robbers gathered that Ray was away ergo for a good chunk of the night no-one would be at the NH to stop them or raise the alarm. Alarm system and code?

It was from his FB page where he had been mentioning his holiday in Tunisia and counting down for 2 weeks about "can't wait"

I did not rely on Ballard as he had not quoted Ray at any point to my knowledge and I don't rely very heavily on Gone as it has a bias to the family.

I agreed with you that anyone with a knowledge of his holiday, inside or outside of the Nags could have used this as an opportunity or set up.

Unfortunately I cannot answer any of your other questions but always will attempt to if possible in the future.
