@Brandysnapblue
Was this in giving a false statement of seeing her??
Or not seeing her? He is a married man I recall.
On what evidence did police take "dogs" through the alley?
Dai Malyn was convinced that was how she was removed from her home.
then there was no body in the proximity of the house for long enough?
A speedy operation would leave little trace. Especially if a wheelie bin was used, then disposed of or swapped.

@MajorLang
It could even have been hidden in the garage at the rear of Nags Head and lay low.
At the risk of sounding like a plot from the Italian Job, it could have been driven onto a larger vehicle such as a horse box or HGV and removed that way.

Yes-Godfather style. So the lord of the manor is now set to buy the access road to this same garage and so will then own much of Heworth. What is his agenda, why did he stay in the area and let his sad partner have to gaze through curtains each day at Claudias.

Not sure what you mean? I was thinking the CCTV from the car braking camera, to the CCTV where she is walking home from work, posting a letter........... I don't think one would be needed pointing directly at her door. To give an example, I live in a village and I could not drive out of "my" village without being picked up on CCTV [public CCTV let alone private CCTV]. Whether I drove left or right out of my Road, I would be seen on CCTV. There is a also a town to the left of my village with public CCTV on the only road out. There is a town to the right of my village with public CCTV on the way out. If I chose to walk out of "my" village, it would also be very difficult. I would have to leg it over many, many, many fences and through gardens, avoiding private CCTV. If I drive to an airport from where I live, there are also loads and loads of CCTVs above the road, logging traffic and speed via a time and distance measure. I know nothing of Heworth at all. But I fail to see how CCTV, used on a wide range distance, fails to show something relevant to Claudia's disappearance. Though I accept that it maybe does and that it isn't in the public domain. So by wheelie bin or another means, I think Claudia had to leave the property via the back and via the Nags Head. OR, by the front door and the police have evidence of this.
Lol at legging it over the fences!

The start of a beautiful and difficult couple of days as she may have lied to him
Ok guys it seems cl birthday was uneventful.
But let’s say she has a secret boyfriend...what did he buy her ?
Now if all bonafide friends / family get together they might be able to identify the mystery gift from the mystery boyfriend !
Did he go back to retrieve the gift ?
He must have bought her something assuming the friendship was for more than 3 weeks !

Depending on gift and depending if it would stand out and be obviously new to anyone who knew her

Why would he want to retrieve it unless he was premeditating a murder. Why would he buy her a gift, then 3 weeks later go and see her and 48 hours later, kill her?
I don't think we have a motive here PJ?

I’m not saying the secret boyfriend killed her even the police said he might be completely innocent but still want him to contact them.
If an unfortunate accident happened he might have realised he left his finger prints and receipt ( ?) on his present .
Who knows it might have been a new pair of hair straighteners !
I know not very romantic.

I can’t imagine why she would go there for her birthday, other than if someone she knew lived close to it, but it’s not the kind of place you’d go in York for a special night. It’s strange that there’s so little information on things.

I understood from the evidence from the work colleague in 2010 that the boyfriend was very recent. I thought it more likely they met on the Saturday race day 14th March or even St Patrick's evening 17th March when she didn't come home until the next morning. If this was discovered by the long term boyfriend, this would offer a strong motive.

Not very romantic leaving the receipt either :)
