I just feel that if I had strong evidence of a crime that I would report it and if the police ignored me I would write to the Chief Constable and if they ignored me I would write to my MP or the local police authority that hold Police to account.

Anyone who feels the Police are ignoring them then there is a way to get their attention.

That's just me though.....
I would put it all over the internet!!, but thats just me :)
Hi I am Angleterre and I am not Lucy Pope as major Lang has asserted. I worked with Ray Galloway when he was a Detective Inspector in another north west Police force and therefore I am not trying to hide anything. I have been in hospital having had spinal surgery and that resulted from an accident that I had whilst in work, As a police officer , and working on the case of R V R Grimes
I have tonight finally had the chance to finish reading through major Lang’s blog and it makes interesting reading
I have already assembled a list of 11 questions / observations however, I will have to think how to post them while remaining within the WS rules and TOS regarding victim friendly. I may tomorrow consider constructing these into a private conversation group chat
I need time to process some of what I have read
But a word of caution major Lang - you have already convinced yourself that I was Lucy Pope even when others questioned otherwise in particular about my going to school with CL
I didn’t and the poster was correct that I was older and I left senior school at 16 in 1986
So if you were so sure and had tunnel vision about that then what else may you have missed through applying the same tunnel vision
I say this with respect and to remind us that sometimes we are so entrenched that we see what we want to see and not what happened
I do applaud you however for your excellent blog and clear dedication to finding out what happened to CL
I look forward to conversing more with you
Great post! I wish you a speedy recovery! I look forward to reading more of your posts.

Re the case going to the CPS
You are absolutely correct and spot on that the investigation team would not waste months putting a case together if they were not convinced of the 4 involvement
Just because it was not followed through by CPS it doesn’t mean that the evidence wasn’t there
It’s all to do with government targets
So for example, if the CPS reviewed the case against the suspects, read all the evidence and looked at the charging criteria and then decided that it did not meet the threshold for prosecution, this is merely a holding point until more supporting evidence is obtained. It doesn’t mean that it will never go to crown court.
The reason the CPS do this is because they have a hi threshold to meet which is something like If the probability of likelihood or prospect of conviction is less than 90% then they won’t take the chance of putting the case before the Court because they need results to satisfy targets set by our inept government. So if they are not persuaded that there is at least a 90% chance of conviction then they ‘park’ it until the threshold is met
Hope that helps explain it and not confuse you all even more!
Does a case still have an Inspector Review to pass before being passed to the CPS? If so, is the threshold the same or lower/higher? Thank you!

Easy now MajorLang and Angleterre I’m going to hold you responsible if Yozzer has a fit tonight when he comes on here and having missed all this activity !
Don't worry @Popejohn3 , @Yozzer will be watching with a big smile on his face :) and as usual when he comments he will as usual speak lots of sense

There was no evidence of Claudia being at risk or having given an "Osman" warning. I have mentioned that she may have fell out with a female friend as recently as that week, hence her avoiding the Nags head.
we wouldn't know that, unless Claudia had shared that with a friend/relative and only if shared that person then made that public. I would imagine though, if that was the case, an arrest would have been made fairly soon after Claudia went missing?

She was seeing a police officer at another local Pub next door to the Acomb police station. The Carlton Arms. Dont know who they were or rank.
is this rumour or do we have a source?

Do we have a media thread?

I cannot believe that there are only three threads on this case :(
@Nikynoo How do we get one of those?
I suppose the only problem is that we then get loads of Journos and Fruit-loops joining in if we are not careful. There are advantages to it being more private?

We haven't a media thread, I will alert a mod and see if they can create one. A media thread is not for discussion, but it is where we keep all the media articles related to this case. Its a helpful tool.

Thanks-Halliwell again. Yes he had clothing trophies of women. Some not yet traced. Claudias would have some familial DNA on some of those items, making them identifiable if that was the case
The medium described him to a T

Hallowed was seen... where ? When ? With whom ? Did he give her change ?
Does her father recalls this?
What did she want ?
Did Halliwell have a passenger in his cab ?
Was the witness a passenger in his cab?
Also if a medium is discribing a person it’s because they are actually looking at a photo or relaying information from another live person !

I’m not sure what you mean
Ordinarily a normal case goes through a designated officer who liaises with the CPS but a case of this magnitude, the SIO ( in this case Dai) would liaise with the nominated CPS officer for this case only and they will be in close contact on a regular basis for reviews of the evidence. Does that answer your question?
