Interesting, very plausible IMO. Does someone know something that PL wouldnt want to be common knowledge? His personal life? Dirty business deals? Something to mull over...
What is the nature of his relationship with "family spokesperson' Martin dales, he is an intelligent and erudite man, so why have the need for a spokesperson at all

part of an article in the Independent Newsaper Friday 8 May 2009 says.. family friend Martin Dales, who used to pay Claudia to babysit his children is now acting as media adviser in the search. Mr Dales is in turn being advised by Clarence Mitchell, the spokesman for Madeleine McCann's family, who specialises in helping distraught families in the public eye.

Yes, but who is behind Clarence Mitchell, and he hasn't exactly done much to enhance the mcanns image in the last 13 years I'd say, and the amount of interviews they have done, they really don't need a spokesman

Im not sure Andy I found that he was a hard reporter for the BBC for 20 years and also director of Downing St. No. 10 Media Monitoring Unit under Tony Blair controlling the flow of information to newspapers
I expect PL was advised to seek professional help of a media advisor being it such a high profile case and quite honestly the poor man must have been under immense emotional stress. Perhaps there were concerns about the effect this was having on his health.
I cant get into the McCann case on here I feel too strongly about it.. Why they have never been taken to court in the UK over the whole thing is beyond me..(just my opinion)

Maybe, I just think her dad is intelligent enough not to require a spokesperson, that's all, especially one being advised by Mitchell, who has not exactly covered himself in glory lately

Oh right, thanks. I was wondering if he could have been alleyman but alleyman has been estimated to be taller than that hasn't he...
I did consider if alleyman was the person wearing a rucksack and on his mble as he approached CL door in the week leading up to her disappearance, having opened the door to him and looking surprised she looked both ways before letting him in. If she didnt want anyone to know of his visit I would expect her to tell him to only use the back entrance. I could explain the evening cctv thinking OK hes going around the back entrance like she told him to didnt get a response at the back door so turned around and returned to whence he came. But when the same thing happened next day again so early in the morning it didnt quite fit.

Was this on the afternoon before she disappeared @MajorLang ? Appears pretty light around the car so certainly well before 7pm which is pretty dark for the CCTV clip with our white jacket "friend"

Suggests house was getting stalked out before she even returned from work on that Wednesday (I assume it's not the CCTV of her actually getting the lift back on that day?)

Well I wouldn't want to be associated with the McCann case. Were they not guilty of leaving young children alone in a foreign country and an unlocked apartment???

Yes I agree. If it happened in UK they would have social services all over them. They got the sympathy card.

Confused by your comments here. She returned from work at 2:45 ish and went out again returning at 3:15 ish. Cctv was 7:00 on and o5:07 am next day

What is far more important than Halliwell is this:

Does anyone recognise the two people in this Ford Ranger-This is a daylight shot of same vehicle.
Seen outside Claudias in the evening of her disappearance ????
And it's a much clearer shot than provided of Alleyman .
The driver is looking sideways and he's wearing dark rimmed glasses

I'm not sure, I think @MajorLang May have more info on that... but rumour has it they are really good friends

I think Clarence Mitchell massively manipulated the media in the McCann case tho, his media spin controlled what was released in mainstream media MOO

It makes you wonder if information is being suppressed from mass population MOO

That's best case scenario! I doubt the whole story though. But agree they should have at least been found culpable for child neglect. I come from a working class background, grew up in a council estate in Manchester and still live there now. If I'd have admitted to what the McCanns admitted to, I highly doubt the outcome would have been the same. MOO
