Thats true but she did own a car and from what I understand she used it for work because her father offered her his car for work so she wouldnt have to work and her mother offered her the taxi money so she wouldnt have to walk, so walking wasnt her usual choice. Perhaps her family or friends could enlighten us as to how much she used her car.
I was wondering where did she usually park her car?

As I understand she used to drive to work until car broke down but she also had a bike

Did I read somewhere that the ford focus seen braking on heworth road had a dent in it somewhere?

It was either a dent or a taxi logo

@Popejohn3 Ckaudia posted a letter in her walk home at Melrosegte post office and shortly after a colleague called Jo stopped to give her a lift the remainder of the way home. Melrosegate Post office being the halfway point. when she got home, she went out again in the direction of Nags Head and was away for about 15 -20 minutes.
On her way back to her house after the errand that no one has ever claimed knowing the purpose of, she meets a childminder and neighbour and briefly exchanged greetings before going back into her house.

If Root has said that she went home and then went back out to post a letter then he is not quoting this from any of reports.

are you confusing this with the letter posting on her way home?

If possible try and read Root’s book pages 14 / 15 but I think he got that bit wrong

Ive been scrutinising the video of the braking car on heworth road which was said to possibly be a ford focus. If you look carefully it clearly indicating left. The reason why its its braking and indicating left is because its the ford focus owned by the neighbour who lives directly opposite Claudias and they are turning left off the road into there driveway. The focus can be seen on their driveway on google street map.

Why the mass appeal if it was as simple as someone living across the road so at least you can identify and interview them pretty easily as to what they saw at that time?

To me the speed and sudden braking suggested it wasn't intent on stopping straight away and could've been going on towards Nags head to do U turn but who knows.

Edit: Thought this was June 2009 crimewatch but given it's Malan talking it's a few years later (2014 or whenever he took over the case).

You would have thought so but honestly not searching the alleyway behind her house went she went missing.. Not pursuing a search down river when 2 different search dogs traced her scent to the rivers edge, not searching for the cig butt on melrose gate bridge from the left handed smoker seen talking to a woman, not taking tyre prints moulds from the grass verge where the car was seen parked with door open and a couple arguing. not to mention the repeated showing of the dark man in alley who apparently had been interviewed and cleared.. you have to ask yourself what sort of investigating was really being done.

Sorry Yozzer cant remember where I read it it might have been on a reply on a Youtube video.. They said it was Richard Cartwright and that he had been interviewed and cleared, It was also said that the driver of the white van parked opposite CL's had also been traced and cleared...
When are we going to get a full update of the case from the police confirming what is true or not, its causes such a lot of confusion and ends up with endless loose ends and everyone going around in circles.

But Dai Malyn says ' a light hatchback possibly a ford focus' so hes not saying the age of the vehicle now or if its a ford focus for sure..

They hadn't cleared Cartwright as he died before they could. It was only suggested it was him because he had properties in that area and he may have been checking on them. since then I have seen a digitally enhanced photo of aleyman and it is one of 4 arrested.
So not interviewed and cleared but arrested and charges not persued due to cps decision.

Or indicating to pull in on left side because someone was waiting to be picked up on that side of road.
If you think about it, if waiting for a lift to go in that direction, you would be on that side of the road so as to access the front passenger door.

Then why have we never seen it on its onward journey either on the costcutter cctv or if it turned around on the limes cctv.

If arrested he would have been interviewed surly and why keep asking the public for a name ?
Did he admit it was him ?
