If arrested he would have been interviewed surly and why keep asking the public for a name ?
Did he admit it was him ?

Doubt it. Deny, deny, deny. That's what made Malyn so livid. They are relying on the public or a 'loved one' to come forward and identify him. His spouse knows imo.

Then why have we never seen it on its onward journey either on the costcutter cctv or if it turned around on the limes cctv.

That's the $64000 question!

It’s being said he’s been identified.ok move on.can we have your dnd / finger prints so we can eliminate you from being in her house / car ?

If he is known to have been one of her lovers ...or even just one of the NH gang who frequented her home for a takeaway/drinking, then DNA/fingerprints mean nothing unfortunately. JK made it clear to the press quite early on that CL hosted late night gatherings with the NH crew, which gives an alibi for countless men, who would have been under suspicion, to be in her home legitimately.

Agreed but police have found unidentified dna / finger prints ?!

Claudia Lawrence's phone was still active near home four hours after she failed to turn up for work | Daily Mail Online

'Nine people including several from her place of work have been arrested or interviewed under caution, but police have never found sufficient evidence to support a charge'.....

'Nine people including several connected to the Nags Head pub where she worked pub have been arrested or interviewed under caution since 2013, and in some cases the investigation got as far as the police submitting files to the Crown Prosecution Service, but there has never been sufficient evidence to bring charges.'

There will be unidentified DNA in your home or mine. It would be nice to identify every person who has ever been in our homes but realistically, that isn't going to happen. Especially as I don't frequent with criminals who have been fingerprinted so would show as 'unidentified'.

What would be useful is fingerprint dating. But the technology isn't there yet.

You have to agree that cig dna would be very important ?!
And would this article be proof enough for majorlang that she worked in this pub ?

That sentence in the article looks like a failed copy and paste but I do agree that I have seen it said that she 'helped out' occasionally at the NH.

Here you are @Popejohn3 ...you were asking recently about the person mentioning the rucksack in the pub. I've just noticed this comment:

And the landlord of the Nags Head, Jim Melrom, said: "A man came in here on Friday night believing he had pictures of Claudia's bag, shoe and scarf. We told him to go to the police but he hasn't been seen since."

This article was written on 29 March 2009 so the Friday in question is likely to have been 27/3/2009 - and not around the time of the original sighting.

Haven't seen the police appealing to find this man or the photos of her belongings

With a bit of luck the photos still exist ?!

If they ever existed
It looks like they belonged to Claudia, walking on cold mornings would she have a scarf ?
Are they missing a scarf ?
If they were hers her mobile too would /could have still be in the ruck sack.
The photographer could have left them in situ. The perpetrator could have gone back for them later then heard the phone ringing.
Leaving one shoe behind indicate a struggle and in a hurry !
And I asked this question before what / who made the police go all the way to Manchester so early in the investigation?

The police did urge the witness to contact them

It also depends where / what objects showed the finger prints .was it a tv /dvd remote control? A kettle ?

If this person existed and if for whatever reason they took pics of claudias things then I cannot think of a single reason they wouldn't go to the police, unless of course its all 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, I take it he didn't show anyone in the pub these pics then

That's the $64000 question![/QUOTE
I believe that the $64000 answer is that it was the neighbour's car and it wasnt recorded on its onward journey because it turned into their driveway where it stayed parked.
I find the fact that the time and date is missing from the cctv highly suspicious is it missing because it arrives oustide of the timeline of CL leaving for work on that day.
This is my opinion I respect yours if you think differently

I was interested in the first line of that article link which said 'The best friend of Claudia Lawrence has revealed that the missing chef was desperate for a holiday and had booked one just days before she vanished'. so could this confirm that the reason for her errand was indeed to pay the deposit for this holiday at the local travel agent on Heworth Road as I suggested earlier.

Perhaps it went and "hid" in Nags Car Park or garage behind it and was taken away as scrap. You mention the bash in doorway. Was this car already destined for destruction but this time with a passenger on board? In the early days, police were looking for a missing person, not a body and they did miss searching the immediate area as they thought she had taken flight or had been kidnapped. Possibly because they knew she was part of a special operation and helping them unknowingly perhaps?
