The cost of holidays is reasonable to bring up
If you read back the script of their texts, CL's could be interpreted in 2 ways: either 'the flights are extortionate'...(a) therefore I won't be coming or (b) hint, hint, could you help me out with accommodation?

How CL could afford all these holidays on a university chef's salary is beyond me.
Its a question asked quite a few times on her Yozzer even if her father was helping her out her salary could not of met all the expenditure she appears to have been making as a single person..

Also perhaps Cl wanted to surprise SS
I understood she had previously stayed with SS when holidaying in Cyprus and RC also invited her to stay with him so I cant understand her making the cost of holidays such a big thing . After all SS was supposed to be returning to the UK and the NH every couple of weeks she could have travelled back with him, and being resident in Cyprus if she didnt want to stay with him he would surely know of where she could stay cheaper than booking through a travel
agent in the uk

That's the $64000 question![/QUOTE
I believe that the $64000 answer is that it was the neighbour's car and it wasnt recorded on its onward journey because it turned into their driveway where it stayed parked.
I find the fact that the time and date is missing from the cctv highly suspicious is it missing because it arrives oustide of the timeline of CL leaving for work on that day.
This is my opinion I respect yours if you think differently

@keep-it-real trust me I have spent many, many hours wanting that theory to be true. These images have been pored over by people with better eyesight and vastly more superior technology than I have, some on this forum, some elsewhere. What I would ask you to consider is whether there are features on the car in the cctv clip that do not match the car in the driveway. For instance I noticed the door handles are black in the cctv clip whereas they are colour coded on the googlemap version. There appears to be a black rubber strip running along the lower doors. The angle of the rear roof quarter panel is not the same either. I'm sure genuine car buffs out there would pick up on dozens of differences.

Take a look at this one, owned by the arrested work colleague MS, known to give lifts to CL and removed by police for further examination.

Thank you for the link and your interpretation. Unfortunately the darkness of the morning and the poor lighting on the road can throw shadows on any visuals of a moving vehicle the cctv camera angles only complicate this further especially in vehicle detailing. As before this is just my opinion and I respect yours.
Do you have any thoughts on the route the light coloured car possibly a ford focus travelled before turning into Heworth Road.

I have an open question possibly two
Can the police contact crimestoppers anonymously and give name and address of a suspect ?
Have they been known to do this ?
Can they legally then, go and visit the suspect and ask / demand dna/finger prints from him ?

There was also confusion about who CL was going with, plus when and where the holiday would take place. The meeting with SC in the pub on Thurs 19th was to sort out a holiday to Greece. Meanwhile, we know she was discussing a holiday in Cyprus on the night of her disappearance (texting the builder guy SS in Coral Bay), but was struggling with the cost of flights. Yet after her disappearance, JK gave the impression she was going to Cyprus with her and it had been booked. Was this true or just a cover story to make it look like her and CL were 'close friends' at the time of her disappearance? How CL could afford all these holidays on a university chef's salary is beyond me.
All the holidays, plus new engine for car, and out drinking, a miracle on her wage I would say

I even thought, she might have "asked without asking", if the receiver of her sms could pay her flight .... ;) (I remember well).

Does not necessarily mean there is something underhand going on though.
She could have been travel savvy. And popular person is bought drinks in a pub .

Im going through some of the cctv footage of the alleyman that the police released .. I found the quality of the video better on MajorLangs blog (its in the section where he is addressing the flashing light reflected in the window) so Im using that.
The police have always presented the man walking towards CL's alleyway and then returning some 1.5 mins later as the same man. But looking very closely at it I dont think it is, I think the man first appraoching the alley is an older man with a slight limp as he rounds the corner of the house you can see the limp is more pronounced, he doesnt appear to be wearing anything on his head.
The returning man appears to me to be a younger man a little slighter than the first man and walks brisker gait as a younger people tend to do he is carrying a rucksack and to my eye hes wearing a hoodie.
I believe the date of the cctv footage is 19th march 2009.. Is this younger male a neighbour who may even be a student at the college on his walk to college or work that morning and walks the journey every day, and if it is is he left handed hooded male smoker seen talking to CL on Melrosegate Bridge.
Is this the morning cctv @keep-it-real !

She had already booked one to go on with JK for spring. She was then planning to go on one in summer with SC. I don't think the three were that close if they went on separate holidays with Claudette?
3S a crowd as they say

I got the impression she was pleading hard up to him

@moonsafari and SC have clarified that Claudette used to buy her own drinks-No she was definitely on an additional income stream-Galloway talked of complexity and mystery.

Yes ... Can you take a look at it you may have to play numerous times.. I also think the man (lets call him Man B) leaving from the Limes direction could be wearing an arcoss the body bag the type students wear.

There has been commentary that he had the bag when going onto Heworth Place it just wasn't visible which makes sense as if it was the student type that slings over one side it would not have been visible when going into Place.
Are there other differences ?

The man A has a slight limp which I noticed as he first rounds the corner of the house, he wears a short coat which is open at the front he has his hands in his pockets, he doesnt appear to be wearing anything on his head, I dont see an across the body bag presumably this would be visual as his right hand side and would be visable to the cctv as this would be the side the bag would lie, if he was wearing this style of bag on the over his left shoulder instead it would hang very low and would reach almost down to his knee because of the bags strap length, you would also see this as he turn the corner of the house. You get to see his front and there no sign of the bag strap across his body. He also looks heavier on his feet.
Man B comes into shot in a much more agile way in a brisker way like a younger person does. he looks slightly more slender, is wearing a hoodie and that across the body bag.
There is a break in the CCTV footage either there is nothing happening and the police have seen fit to cut this out or there was either more activity from people or vehicles leaving which they didnt want to show as they wanted to highlight Man A and the man in the light coat on Heworth Rd. Personally I think they made an error in presuming this was the same man and has presented to the public as such.
I see the man A in the evening CCTV clip matching man A from the morning CCTV clip.. but to me Man B is a different person

There has been much of the limelight stolen by Jen King and Suzy Cooper and they were only recently friends with Claudia before she disappeared.
Police also seem fixed on the culprits being someone close to Claudia and so someone she would trust.
Why do we not hear of Claudias other friends who must be thinking that she got in with the wrong crowd.
I'm tired of watching documentaries and hearing in social media about the two recent friends as though they were the victims
The week she disappeared it appears that everyone including Claudia were behaving differently and the time it took her friends to raise the alarm when the serial texter that she was is silent for many hours.
I know that if one of my friends goes off line for that period of time that something is up.
If I was drinking in the pub 4 doors away I would be knocking their door down, particularly if they lived on their own and as Jen King has to walk past her door on her own way home.

So I invite Claudias recent friends to come on here and explain to all of us who spend hours dedicating our time to finding the truth Exactly what they were doing during the hours that Claudia was vulnerable and where they were and what was going through their minds to not check in her or raise the alarm much earlier.

It just feels like a game where no one wanted to be first to raise the alarm and that doesn't bode well for me or many others

Have you taken into account the camber on the path. If you walk one way you may limp but not the other way?

Also if you’ve been stalking her in the front of the house you’d hurry back to the front in case you miss her .

But he had a good reason for in her house before if he was a friend
As you say if he was a friend, he’d have a good reason for being in her house and therefore no reason to lie about being there near her house .
I don’t think anyone has admitted it was them : the police would have changed their website
