Regarding the majors txt retrieval query, apparently it can be done even if deleted because it is still lurking somewhere on the sim as data, of course in this case there is no phone or sim to look at, would be probably out of luck with the network provider as they simply don't have the storage to keep tabs on the literally billions of txts sent daily, I expect in 2009 storage would have been at a minimum

All calls and texts including video clips and pictures are accessible by your mobile company, they are also monitored by agencies such as GCHQ and NSA for keywords to identify terrorist threats amongst other things, so any data transferred from Claudias phone would be available somewhere, whether the Police would have routine access to it would be another matter. I work in the banking sector and we store all transactional data going back 30+ years, so I don’t think storage would have been an issue in 2009.

I read that phone providers only store data for a limited time because of the volume of data, I'm sure gchq could monitor anything and anyone if required, but I do know of 2 people arrested by police and one of the 1st things asked for were there phones, why bother asking if you can access the data anyway, you could have the information before you spoke to them, the police certainly seemed keen enough to find Claudia's phone

It gives it a totally different context, and may suggest a person in authority at work putting pressure on her, hardly a motive for murder or abduction, but maybe payback for a person scorned.

To be honest I had no Idea about the data storage until I looked it up today, I suppose it makes sense when you consider all the vast amount of txts and emails etc sent daily, I mean why would Vodafone etc want to keep them anyway

Often when that happens it is because he may not want people to be aware of that work period in case references are sought.

There are amazing techniques to acquire information but they need other sources because they will not go to court with just that evidence, otherwise you’ll give the game away !

Can anyone shed a light on this for me : Why have family spokesmen in some of these high profile cases ?
Especially when the parents and I’m referring to more than one case here , are highly educated and articulate?
One is wondering all the time whether the spokesmen are in full possession of the facts and therefore one takes their statements with a pinch of salt ... perhaps ?

Maybe Claudia's parents find it too upsetting to keep going over it, her mothers hair has fallen out through stress and her father who is getting on a bit now collapsed last year, other cases may differ, might be a ulterior motive, but I don't think so with this one
