yes....this is probably going off at a useless tangent but I don't think we've found out what that last errand was

you'd think if shed popped into a shop, the pub, or to see someone, they'd have come forward.

unless someone was out

According to the two accounts below from people who knew Claudia's daily routines, it wasn't uncommon for her to pop into the pub after work. I wonder if she did this on that Wednesday afternoon for a clandestine meeting?

Distraught friends fear missing university chef Claudia Lawrence has been abducted
JK: “She’s a creature of habit. She never shirked off her work, even when she was poorly she would go in until she was told to go home. She used to go to work and then come in here with us. She would never do anything out of the ordinary."
Linda Chapman: 'The last person to see missing chef Claudia Lawrence before her mysterious disappearance has spoken of her anguish. "She seemed her usual happy, cheery self then she disappeared round the corner. I presumed she was going home from work or maybe popping into the pub because she lives close to it."
By the looks of things...accordingly to her friend she did use her phone as an alarm

I am not sure he did,as from Scotland originally.But Major probably knows x
Thanks @Vixey.
The relationship if any would be between Steve Samons who had a business in Cyprus and long time ex business partner and good friend of George Foreman. (Nags Head)
I thinking is fair to say that Steve and George were on the softer side and Robbie from the hard side of life.

@Yozzer
The other thought I had here is that her affair with Lee Horwell whilst described as over may we'll have rekindled.
He lived around the corner in Freddie Truemans old Victorian terrace-Now apartments and a short walk. But as you say, she may have just gone to the Nags for a quick fix and not of the Cider kind if you follow what I mean?

Just spoke to my friend at the cemetery regarding the majors cremation theory, he reckons very difficult but not impossible, apparently it is all computerised but you need to know what your doing, he said each time it is fired up and put into operation there is a record of it, couldn't be done first thing as would still be hot when operatives turn up for work and they fire it up daily for the days events, I asked about a weekend, especially a Sunday, he said that although the crematorium is shut there are still people working at the cemetery, he said the only way round it is when it's fired up after routine maintenance or repair, but would need one of the usual operatives to be on site, he said it usually takes about 2 hours to render a body to Ashes, although can take longer apparently depending on size of coffin, but it's usually about 2.5 hours maximum
@Andyboy Great summary
What if she was placed in a coffin with someone else or parts of her spread across a few coffins?

I think a lot of. people concerned knew a lot about one another. and, even if unwilling, could be roped into helping the perp

I think it would have been a push to get there and back via East Parade and actually, the Heworth Green route would have been far quicker.
There were certainly other routes into the NH which didn't involve entering the bar or lounge, as we know. You might have expected people to notice but then who else mentioned her walking back from the shops apart from Linda Chapman. People are in their own little worlds.

That is a possibility, I have been to numerous cremations and always assumed that once the curtains shut you were in the oven, found out that isn't true unless you are the first of the day because the one before you takes 2 hrs or so then they have to wait for the Ashes to cool down before collection, so it's possible she was put in another coffin, but this would require either an unknown amount of assistance at the crematorium or maybe a dodgy undertaker putting an extra body in the coffin

Wouldnt 2 bodies in one coffin take longer to incinerate though.
But they were inferring ...then... if it was a stranger but most including police believe she knew them and went in the car willingly !

Your correct PJ her father said 'someone she knew or at least recognised'

Or head of crematoriums who knew his way around the system..... now what was hisname again.... ?Something to do with what Yorkshire were famous for.

Could you explain why this is relevant in your view @Popejohn3 ? I know you've mentioned it before.
I mentioned in the past because some papers kept repeating ( wrongly I believe )
That her phone was switched off around midnight .anyway it looks like she relied on it as an alarm

just. another thought on that last message to jk

I know its blindingly obvious, but with the lie that she had to work so much, this message was effectively creating a wedge between jk and the. other friends....assuming they didn't know this

I think maybe the original idea had been that they could use this message to account for why they hadn't been worried. when they hadn't seen c for a while and then for some reason they changed their minds...after the message c phoned her mother and whoever was there realised her mother would miss her anyway...so maybe that's when they thought it would look better if sc raised the. alarm

I don't think there's any doubt that c knew or recognised the perp...its just a matter of if she went into a car willingly or was killed, sedated or overpowered at home.

pope John....you seem very certain about what you think....if you know stuff, don't you think you ought to tell the police

I'm not sure how long 2 bodies would take, if claudia was about 9 stone and she was in with similar be like an 18 stone person wouldn't it, I presume bones are bones aren't they, and anyway i don't think time is a consideration, as I was told, people aren't always cremated the same day as you may think, was told they have only just got over the recent coronavirus backlog

Apparently it's not like TV or films when people leave the crematorium and are handed an urn, simply doesn't happen apparently

@cortina I promise the police know all that I know and ...
