She says: “We’d all been in the pub for Cheltenham Day on the Friday before she disappeared. We had both been drunk. She had beer fear. If she’d been drinking she was always worried she’d done something to upset someone. She never had.
“Then after I saw her on the Sunday we texted like normal.
“The last text she sent was saying she had a row of 12 early start shifts and how she wasn’t going to have a life for a bit. I think she was walking to work that morning and something happened. Either she was snatched or coerced into a vehicle.”
Missing chef Claudia Lawrence's best pal tells of heartbreaking 10-year search
When JK and CL met on Sunday, JK wasn't told about the 12 early shifts in a personal conversation. Seemingly CL didn't know about it herself?
Who told CL about her duty to do 12 early shifts and when? Certainly there was a "manager" for arranging the work schedule. Was it DO by chance, who created the work schedules?
So, CL would know, the manager at least would know, DO as a collegue would know probably, JK would know after the message, all people who JK told about it (crowd at NH's perhaps) would know.
Did it mean: 12 days in a row for the onetime chance to abduct CL overnight?
Was it useful or even indispensable for the abductor to know about the 12 early morning shifts?
-.-.-
I know, that some are of the opinion, the texting about shifts to JK could have been fake. But unfortunately we don't know, if.
The text that JK received we are told was the last text CL sent.
Of course we don't know this to be the case as her phone has not been found.
We have the statement by JK detailing the content of the text which I am sure JK has provides from her phone to police.
Is there anyone on here who knows if a text sent from a phone can be accessed other than from the phone?
What I mean here is, can a mobile provider see the content / words in a sent text?
I know they can see the detail of times, number sent to etc.
But can the content be seen remotely???
If not, the only detail available without the handset will be:
Call or SMS
Time sent
And if a call-the duration.
JK has said that this was the last message she received from CL
Have police confirmed that this was the last text Claudia sent from her phone?
The mobile phone provider will know and will have provided this as evidence to police.
What we know is that the text Claudia sent was describing a different work schedule to the one that she had previously planned around:
She was scheduled to see Suzy on 19th evening, her Dad on the Friday 20th for a catch up at The Nags and also as we know it was Mother's Day on Sunday 22nd, a visit to Mum in Malton.
The police will now know if the text was a true reflection of her work rota, as would David Oxer and management at her workplace. They will have checked this.
Police have not described the text as immaculate for their own reasoning.
Suzy and Jen in social media have not commented further in this text.
My position here is that Claudia didn't send the last text to JK. If there was a work schedule change, Claudia would be cancelling her arrangement with Suzy.
JK would spot the lie because of the pre-planned meetings
JK was on duty in Nags on night of 19th so would see CL with Suzy. This would create conflict.
Whoever sent the text was possibly buying time.
When Suzy was sat in the bar waiting for Claudia on night of 19th, did she discuss CL no show with JK and did they come to the conclusion that this was the reason for the no show???
Did the killer send the text just after they had done the nasty dead or just prior to doing so whilst in possession of CL phone-Quite a chilling thought......
