Is there someone close to her Malton friend who may have found out this information and acted upon it for whatever reason? Claudia texting her first makes me less inclined to believe foul play was committed by her after finding out this information. Perhaps it does point to them having recently met up, placing her recently in Malton or York depending on who visited who and how often and the nature of their exchanges. They'd holidayed together in the past - perhaps Malton friend settled down and the girly holidays ended, for practical reasons as much as anything else if she had children. Claudia eventually moved to York, met Suzy, and began a perhaps similar functioning friendship. Despite being one of Claudia's oldest friends she was distant in her Missing Person appeal.

Yes-JK does not endear herself to the public in the same way that Suzy Cooper does-Why is that?

I think her view of the investigation changed in 2015 when I detected a harder tone set in which conflicted at times with the message she appeared to want to portray in interviews. SC on the other hand, has never shifted position from being a genuinely devastated and lost soul.

I didn't think of there being 2 people but might be. I see what looks like a backpack with the black x shape (of straps?). Also long legs with what might be blue jeans. If someone was standing so near to the road, did the driver first brake to avoid him/her? Then second brake to reverse park perhaps?

Like a stalker who was staking out the place? Most adults would just sit in a car parked on the road though surely? Unless they lived very locally I suppose, which we know some suspects did/do.

@Nikynoo I am not sure really but of all the nasty comments on FB, I thought that this was up there as one of the worst. it was posted on FB around the period of 15th May 2010 and here are the messages that responded. This exchange of anger was only raised by another FB member in August 2018 as possibly relevant to the case.
It could have been a man or woman scorned.

Claudia was known to (Shown in CCTV from her leaving work) The fashionable at that time-flared denims. In the Crime watch reconstruction she had a dark short jacket on which was different from the normally noticed light short jacket.
