I know this sounds utterly crazy and I'm not sure I even believe myself, but I'm actually starting to believe him a little. I think it's possible that something went wrong (although I am unsure if it was a momentary wondering and intrigue into a sense of power that went to the point of no return) and he went into an utterly insane state due to massive stress. His answers, albeit horrendous, are not covert or dismissive. He's genuinely explaining that he didn't know what to do with the body of a policeman who was dead after some kinky, specific interest sex and/or possible killing. Phoning the police might have seemed an unreasonable solution when in panic mode.

He sounds like when he's saying it can't be me and I'm insane, he's not saying it as an excuse, it sounds like he's admitting what he did and is unable to comprehend that he did those things as himself. So Satan must have told him to, there must be some reason or something that's happened... It sounds like a prolonged state of panic to me.

It's also odd to me that this seems to have come from nowhere. This crazy as hell crime that hasn't built up from other crimes (that we know of) - he's just gone full mental.

I don't know, maybe he is just evil personified and certainly his acts have been evil beyond belief, but I'm not (yet) entirely convinced that he wasn't acting out of extreme panic in the aftermath of an accident or a crime that wasn't planned.

Maybe I'm trying to rationalise the irrational. Am I just searching for good where there is none?
