She is just sounding stupid now and yes, it is odd that she has not come up with some kind of story about being framed being as she doesnt seem to have any problem lying and fantasising.

I wonder if she knows that Walsh is going to testify and that Walsh will be able to prove some of Williams lies ?

Sarah Williams says she has no idea how phone used during the murderer came to be under her bed when police searched her home..
SW has "no idea" how victim's DNA came to be in her bath and has "no idea" how victim's blood got onto her spectacles

This is laughable!

What do you mean Alyce?

She reminds me of Tracie Andrews, absolute denial all the way through the trial. Could she believe this will provide "reasonable doubt" for the jury, silly woman.

Kit is going to be interesting.

I'll be very disappointed if Kit doesn't take the stand. Maybe SW is banking on her not taking the stand. Thinking she won't be challenged and the jury will have to consider she was framed by Kit.

Williams: 'I'm certainly not an assassin'

Prosecutor: “You and Kit thought as yourselves as clever assassins didn’t you?”

Sarah Williams: “No, not at all. I would never have thought of myself as particularly clever and certainly not an assassin.”

Prosecutor: “You had the motive, didn’t you? You had betrayed your hatred of Sadie Hartley over and over again to ordinary people who have come to this court.”

Williams: “I didn’t hate her.”

I mean that perhaps Williams has not made up an I was framed defence because she knows that Walsh would be able to prove that she ( Williams ) was lying. so the best she can come up with is, I have no idea and it was not me.

Yes me too re Walsh on the stand. I feel she has to do it for her own sake and I am interested to see how she presents herself.

do they - ie Williams defence - already know if Walsh will testify ? I presume they must do, but then I suppose Walsh can change her mind.

Prosecution to Williams: “You are a cold-blooded, determined murderer aren’t you?”

Prosecutor: “You have got Sadie’s blood on your glasses. You have got her blood on your bath.”

He added: “You are a cold-blooded, determined murderer aren’t you?”

Williams: “No.”

Was Walsh in court today? Are co-defendants/accused (?) allowed to hear everything that is said? I know KW was absent for some time at the beginning. Sorry for my ignorance.

I see Sadie Hartley is trending on twitter right now, suddenly a lot of interest. This is making me think the Prosecution has almost ended its case and Walsh will not testify.

Yes they hear everything jessie.

I havent seen any comment in the press to say that she wasnt there, so am assuming she must have been.

I have been wondering about this. I just can't understand a motive for Kit murdering Sadie however hard I try and turn their relationship to friend and/or partner.

It is clear SW is a controlling b***h and i can also believe Kit was in her thrall. But what would Kit gain by doing this? IMO doing a friend a favour is going a bit too far here.

Williams agreed with the prosecutor adding: "The attack was savage."
But she continued: "I have absolutely no idea who it is. I have not done it, I'm not capable of this."
The court has heard Walsh bought the murder weapon and that Williams said it was Walsh's idea to buy the stun gun, the men's boots and a Renault Clio car - driven to Helmshore before being abandoned in a car park in Ellesmere Port.
Mr McDermott said: "You have got your friend Kitt to do a lot of purchasing, because that is one stage removed from you.
"You thought throughout this exercise that no-one would ever get to Kitt."
Williams replied: "There was no exercise."
The prosecutor went on: "You and Kitt thought of yourselves as clever assassins."
"No, not at all," said Williams. "I have never thought of myself as particularly clever and certainly not as an assassin."
Mr McDermott said: "Katrina Walsh was with you every step in this plan."
Williams said: "There has not been a plan."
Mr McDermott said: "You had the motive."
The defendant said: "No."
The prosecutor said: "You have betrayed your hatred of Sadie Hartley over and over to ordinary people who have come to this court to tell us."
Williams said: "No, I did not hate her."
Closing his cross-examination, Mr McDermott said to her: "You are a cold-blooded and determined murderer, aren't you?"
Williams calmly replied: "No."
