You have to listen to the actual recording of the phone call which Tortoise mentioned and linked in her post.
I've just listened, the transcript scrolls along with the recording and it matches exactly, both can be stopped and repeated which I did.
He says "someone else car" twice.
No doubt in my mind.

He says that at first then later in the recording he says my sons. Around the 7.10 time

No Skigh,
I'm not talking about the first time, he continues to be asked the same question - whose car are you in?
It's the second and third time he answers around the 7.10 mark that he says
"I'm in my someone else car"
and then "it someone else car"
That is what the transcript says and surely is what the responder wrote down?
Urfan is blubbering and losing his word-endings amid his sobbing, but it would be difficult to confuse the two word "son's car" (2 beats) with the longer three word "someone else car" (3beats).
I can only add that I hear what the transcript says, and I believe that the transcript is correct.

But as well as giving the info about Sara's body in the house, he was also lying through his teeth in that call, saying he didn't know where he was, hiding the fact that he was in Pakistan, he was doing his best not to answer whose car he was in - or give any info about it -so IMO any indication that he has an older son on the basis of that call is highly unreliable. IMO.

DM is always alert!

"Sara Sharif's uncle

'may have been unaware'

of abuse suffered by the 10-year-old at home

as he was 'busy working at McDonald's', murder trial hears.

Malik claims that although he lived at Hammond Road, while working at McDonald’s and attending Portsmouth University as a student,
he was not aware Sara was being abused.

Malik’s barrister Micheal Ivers, KC,

(This is another barrister than was reported earlier
and KC)

today questioned police officer Greg Robinson
regarding the location data taken from Malik’s phone.

Mr Ivers said it was not possible to say whether the data showed Malik was at home at Hammond Road, at work at McDonald’s or in the area around the local Co-op at any given time.

This perhaps gives a little bit of a warning that we should not assume he’s at Hammond Road,’ Mr Ivers said.

Mr Robinson said that because Malik was on the Three network there was less data available than is given by a network like Vodafone and EE.

Mr Ivers suggested it was better for the jury to rely on CCTV footage, Malik’s use of his card at the Co-op and his work rota at McDonald’s."

I do agree. It is much more likely to have been a relative on his father 's side of his family.

Yes I was/am and my apologies I hadn't taken in your timing.
I think he answers the question about 5 times and I only counted the first 3 times and I appear to be correct in what I heard/read/thought "someone else car"
But later, at the time you say he clearly says and it is also transcribed that he's in his "son's car."
I will now take a break.

There is a change in barrister for Malik - according to the below, it was Dan Taylor - Dan Taylor instructed for the defence in high-profile murder case of 10 year old Sara Sharif | Red Lion Chambers

I believe it is not uncommon to change barristers in high-profile cases and can happen for loads of reasons—e.g., needing a specific expertise, or the new barrister can bring a different angle which is better for Malik... although I still think he is guilty of witnessing the constant abuse on Sara without lifting a finger, and therefore guilty of her murder directly or indirectly (IMOO).

Both lawyers might be a team.

But Mr M. Ivers is KC.
(As I pointed out in my post.)

Only DM sent report from today.

They've missed out the part where he says it's his son's, further along.

You can listen to the call at the link below - from about the 7.12 mark, he says son's twice.

I noticed he seemed to give two different phone numbers whilst mumbling through the digits (or he switched from giving one to giving another).
First 07770 707424
Then 07424 746285
Both are standard UK format, but neither has active WhatsApp, Viber or Skype accounts.
Wonder what prompted the change…

This may be related to "equality of arms" to ensure a fair trial. If the lead prosecution barrister is a KC, then the defendants would also be represented by KC barristers for equality of arms. JMO.

I think so too.

It is a high profile/international trial.
Other countries are watching closely.

I saw reports in many foreign MSM.

I view it as a point of honour for the UK that everything goes smoothly.

Top notch.

I know the school made a report to social services after they spoke to Sara about her face bruising, and she was taken out of school, but does anyone know if social services then checked on the family?

The latest info

"Monday, October 28

This afternoon,
Greg Robinson,
the telecommunications cell site engineer,
was cross examined by Faisal Malik’s defence team.

The cross examination included clarification of some of the entries in the cell site data analysis.

Surrey Police analyst Vernie Govender
was also cross examined by Faisal Malik’s defence
who wanted to clarify evidence in reference to the timeline
and an entry relating to Eat Out in Woking on August 1
as to whether it was an in-store order or a delivery.

There will be
no updates
tomorrow or Wednesday –
the court is not sitting tomorrow
and the jury is not sitting on Wednesday."

While looking for trial reports
I encountered many from different countries following this particular case.
(as I mentioned earlier).

This case is universal,
appealing to people all over the world,
the eternal "fight between good and evil".

These criminals attacked values held dearly by humanity.

They dared to harm and destroy what is the most innocent, the purest, the most treasured and the most vulnerable.

A child.

Children are treasure,
they are cherished and loved,
they bring joy, laughter, happiness and hope to families.

Children mean future.
Without children nations die.

That is why people all over the world
turn away in disgust
seeing the perpetrators who dare to harm children.

They are despised even in prisons among other criminals.
The lowest of the low.

Which countries are reporting on it, or are there too many to list?
