Don’t know if anyone else noticed that during the 999 call the operator asked who’s car he was in, Urfan replied my son’s, it’s my son’s car.

If Urfan has a much older son in Pakistan that could be another reason for Sara’s siblings to stay there.
Hi luna can you please link this article and not just a screen shot . Another poster had said similar up thread and I linked the transcript from a paper in the uk which stated he said someone's car . I'm wondering if reporting restrictions in UK played a part in changing the wording but usually the media will just blur it out .

Urfan having a son with first wife doesn't matter as regarding the subsequent violence against Sara but just so we have the facts regarding this as the last thing we want to do in this thread is take rumour as fact

. Its too serious of a case and in honor of Sara's memory I would like to make sure the thread stays factual . Posters can hypothesis and give opinions that's what WS is for and very welcomed just would like to verify this wording once and for all

I just checked and you are right - the transcript states that Sharif said someone else's car -

They've missed out the part where he says it's his son's, further along.

You can listen to the call at the link below - from about the 7.12 mark, he says son's twice.

Olga speaking last year

"The heartbroken mother described Sara as
'an amazing child'."

"Mother of Sara Sharif, 10, who was found dead in her Surrey home

says the tragic girl's

'behaviour changed when she moved in with her father'."

Thank you for the clarification on that . That's the first time I listened to the recording. One thing I notices is urfan is feigning the broken hearted father as the changes in voice control varies from fake upset to garner sympathy to clear speech when calling out his phone number

Oh Gosh! Thank you Tortoise, like Su5ie, this is the first time I have heard the full transcript.

I agree, he is absolutely feigning any grief! (IMOO). I bet the CCTV cameras at heathrow and Pakistani airport would show that he is quite calm. Certainly, when he was booking the tickets, he must have sounded in control of his emotions!!! I wonder if noise experts can decipher another muffled voice in the background (JMO)?! Anytime the operator asked a leading question Sharif paused - if he was that distraught he would be blubbering everything (again, JMO).

And his older son in Pakistan knows exactly what happened. So all his family must have known that Sharif confessed to killing Sara when they were hiding them!!!
They all knew that they were harbouring a murderer (according to his confession)!!!!

I am livid!

This is another photo
where Sara is wearing make up.
(Heavy eye make up)

And she is sitting between her twin sisters.
So...
It seems such photos were taken in U&B's house.

It looks the same time frame as another
much discussed picture.
(the same hair length,
the same hairdo)

She is dressed as an Egyptian for a whole school Egyptian day. Her sisters are wearing the same costume. There were pictures of other children in similar costumes on the school web site .I think the make up is in keeping with the costume.

Yep.

So the other, much discussed photo,
might also be connected to school's theatre drama/event where she supposedly appeared.
And was taken at home before going to school event.

That was always my opinion.

Especially,
as a teacher said that Sara loved to appear on stage.

And the photo was sent to Olga to show how her daughter "flourishes" in "father's" household.

PS
In my school when pupils appear in school's theatrical dramas/plays/shows as actors,
girls also wear make up done by their mothers and come to events all "dolled up", happy and proud.
And lots of pics are taken.

This thread is closed for cleanup due to discussion of religion and race, both of which are against Websleuths TOS unless LE has specifically indicated they are factors in this case.

Not sure when it will reopen as Mods are extremely busy.

About the uncle. One would hope he might enter a plea bargain, but some protection might be considered. His status in the UK is unclear, and he might be fearful of repercussions from the relatives in Pakistan. In general, one hopes.

One would hope that there might be other witnesses.
His chance to that was when he was asked to plead. He could have pled guilty to the lesser charge in the hope that the Crown would accept the not guilty plea to murder and then given evidence against his brother and sister-in-law. He chose not to do so, so he'll be tried for murder like the other two.

So...
Can't he change his plea?
I thought a defendant can change it at any time.
And appear as a witness for Prosecution against other co-defendants.

But... Ummm...
English Law is not my speciality

Sara Sharif’s uncle can change his plea from not guilty to guilty at any point before or even during the trial. This is his legal right, and it’s often done when new evidence comes up or if the defendant wants to negotiate a deal with the prosecution.

If he chooses to plead guilty, he might also agree to testify against his brother and sister-in-law. Often, cooperating with the prosecution in this way can lead to a lighter sentence, especially if his testimony is crucial to the case.

Whether he pleads guilty depends on a few things: how strong the case is against him and the others, what the prosecution might offer in exchange, and the advice he gets from his lawyer. Changing a plea and testifying against family members can be complicated.

Plus, if he testifies against his brother and sister-in-law, there may be anger from his family in Pakistan (imo).

Thanks!
This is exactly what I always thought.
Nothing is written in stone.
Everything can suddenly change.

Ok folks
as nothing about the trial is appearing today
I decided to check "Old Bailey" and its name
as it is written in every Court report and made me soooo curious.
Why Bailey?
Why Old?

"Old Bailey,
byname of the Central Criminal Court in London.

It is perhaps the best known of several buildings housing the Crown Court,
which handles the most serious criminal offenses in England and Wales.

1730138971060.jpeg

The present building
(opened in 1907)
is a familiar part of London’s skyline,
with its copper dome
and iconic bronze figure of Justice

holding a sword and a set of scales.

1730137798966.jpeg

Old Bailey’s nickname
is taken from the street where the building is located.

The road itself runs along the same course as London’s original fortified wall,
which was called a 'bailey'.”

Another new thing learnt today :)
