In a situation where a female may be in distress, she may be more comfortable with another female. The police routinely do this.
yes, but last going to meet a mystery man,mr kipper. i would take a make staff member in case it kicks off.

now they FLO to deal with female if she wants that, but back in 1986 it would have been another world.

Family Liaison Officer?
It was just a comparison. The police weren't involved at that stage.

Yep. There are many, many reasons why, if SJL had been in distress or had been taken ill for any reason at 37SR or nearby, she might have felt more comfortable talking to a female colleague rather than her male line manager or any other male colleague. It made absolute sense for him to take SF. He probably thought she had been taken ill and that was why she was late back. It is what I would have assumed as the most likely reason. You would not think she had been abducted in broad daylight at lunchtime in London.

Maybe that was why he took her and maybe she was the only one free to come along. But I bet it was the former.

Most obviously, a 25-year-old woman about town could have had a miscarriage or some kind of Pill-related episode that she wouldn't relish two blokes from the office knowing about.

This is surely more likely than matters kicking off. There'd have been no reason to suspect anything like that might happen and if it were at the back of one's mind that some sort of SA might be in progress the attacker would surely run from a bloke like burglars retreat from barking dogs.

There have certainly been some crazy theories posted on this thread.

Everyone seems hell bent on ruling JC out, but nobody ever puts forward any alternative suspects.

The police may have missed some of Suzy's work/personal associates, but they will have looked hard at her known colleagues in the 80s investigation and later review.

Yes, they did do that. They very meticulously investigated them. It is documented in AS.
The people whose names have been mentioned in this thread recently are not suspects or POIs, they are still alive, they have also suffered the loss of their friend/colleague and so people should have some empathy. Here endeth the pep talk, sorry :D

There is one suspect I and a few others have spoken about in previous threads TS . The reason I suspect this person is he went bankrupt 8 days later ,suzy backed out of a property deal with him prior to this and she had mentioned to her father she was under pressure to seal the deal .

He lived in Kent but had a property under construction in London not far from fulham and was also involved in the construction industry. He also ran nightclubs which probably brought him into contact with shady types

His wife at the time PS turned up at DLs house in tears and said she was to blame as she was meant to meet suzy for lunch the day she disappeared and when she divorced TS . She said he was a very violent man . She has never used her very public platform to discuss or appeal for suzy and was part of the putney set who closed ranks and refused to help the investigation.

There was rumour at the time that both put a court order in place inhibiting the media from speaking to them about suzy .

Make up your own mind who you think may have done it but TS has a lot to be considered as a suspect imo more than John Cannan .

I really think the person responsible was someone who suzy had a business or personal history with .

to me it would make sense taking a male member of staff, and then you see SL has gone to meet a mystery man called mr kipper, then bring a male worker with you as back up.

He is an interesting POI but his type often declared bankruptcy for tactical reasons.

I've never heard anything about him and Suzy being involved in a property deal.

There was no reason to think her failure to return meant that anyone had done her harm.

yes, but knowing the man she was going to meet is called, MR KIPPER, then she is never seen again.

They didn't know she would never be seen again, did they? For all they knew, she could have fallen in the house and injured herself after the viewer had left. Or been injured or taken ill in some other way. Taking another female along would be a sensitive precaution.
And the fellow's name is irrelevant.

yes, PS husband i believe SL was going into business with them, but it all went wrong. SL would visit them about 3 times a week, and share bottle of wine with them. i think they were close friends at one point.

I thought I read somewhere that they hadn't in fact seen each other for a while, and the supposed lunch meeting was the first time in several months that sjl and the female in question had planned to meet?
