Baur's lawyer, Amber Gratz, and the Manitowoc County district attorney noted the large amount of discovery in the case before Judge Anthony Lambrecht.

"We are working with Attorney Gratz to provide her discovery, which is an unusually large amount of discovery," District Attorney Jaclyn LaBre said. "That has been provided to her, but it takes time to go through."

From your quote "We are working with Attorney Gratz to provide her discovery, which is an unusually large amount of discovery,"

An unusually large amount? Hmmm.... I'm guessing texts, pics taken... but what else could make it "unusually large"?

Search warrant returns, DNA testing, witness interviews, cell phone location data, autopsy results... I hope it's a mountain of evidence enough to put these two away FOREVER. MOO

It's bitterly cold here in Wisconsin today, one year and a day since Elijah Vue was seen in security camera footage at an auto repair shop in Two Rivers on Friday, February 16th, 2024. I imagine thousands of caring people saw this image thousands of times. IMO, it's haunting because the adult person sitting beside three-year-old Elijah cared not one bit about him.

It's JMO, but I think children perceive when all is not right with their world. They often don't have the words to communicate it, but they know it; they feel it. I think that's plain to see in this image.

Elijah's life would be over less than three days later, based on the facts we have so far. Nothing was right in his world. He knew he wasn't with his mother and sister. He was with an intimidating man who had control of him, who made him stand for hours on end repeating apologies, kept him wearing soiled diapers and denied him toys.

Mom wasn't coming. Where was she? Why was he here with this bullish, scary man?

I hope, so hope, that Elijah never knew what happened to him, not even one second of an inkling.

In the year since, I've given up hoping that the two adults charged with his death will admit what they did and disappear into prison.

I just don't think I'm ever going to forget this darling little boy. My heart still breaks for the wider family that was there to love him, if only they'd been allowed.

Police used every resource they could, including drones, diving search teams, K-9 search teams and specialty non-profit search teams.

On top of that, volunteers throughout Manitowoc County and the state of Wisconsin showed up almost daily for months in hopes of finding the little boy, or at least clues to his whereabouts.

His next court date is March 13 for a scheduling conference. He is currently in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond. The Wisconsin court system requires people to pay the full cash bail to be released from custody.

Baur has a status conference scheduled for June 13. She is also currently in custody at the county jail on a $400,000 cash bond.

Oh, what a sad and, IMO, scared little face. How many days was he scared or hurting or both?

Fly high, pretty little one. You are now where only good things happen.

During a court hearing Thursday in Manitowoc, another status conference was scheduled for June 20 for Jesse Vang.

Defense attorneys for Vang asked the judge for more time and the judge granted the request.

No trial date was set Thursday for Jesse Vang, the man who reported Elijah Vue missing and is now charged with causing his death and hiding the 3-year-old’s body.

The defense reportedly stated that they needed more time to review the ‘thousands’ of pages of police paperwork, citing an “enormous amount of discovery.” The defense went on to say that there are over 7,000 pages of police reports alone, not including all the videos, interviews, and everything else.

In court Friday, defense attorney Amber Gratz asked for more time to review the evidence in the case.

District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre said she recently received another 400 pages of reports, which she needs to review and send to Gratz.

In order to give them both time to review evidence, the September status conference was set by Judge Anthony Lambrecht.

Baur did not appear in court or by video for Friday’s hearing.
