Thanks for your perspective.
This is obviously just my opinion, but I feel the opposite: I don't think he's died by suicide. If he has died, I suspect it was more a failure to thrive / succumbed to the environment (ie animals) situation than an intentional act.
Have we weighed in on how many think he's in hiding vs still alive at this point?
I have been leaning toward the former all along, but as time passes, I truly wonder if he's deceased.
What about the searches that persist in the Carlton Reserve? Yes, it's an expansive landmass, but with the...
Precisely.
Interesting, too, that this never dawned on me until I heard Nancy Grace (I know, communal groan) interviewed on CNN today where she made mention that the time that the takes for someone to strangle someone is enough time to constitute premeditation because of how non-instantaneous it...
Sorry, I can't quote the actual post, but @Jmoose said:
I am not convinced that these two were even having sex at this point; they didn’t seem to be getting along, and BL seemed to have some pretty profound hygiene issues, which might make it unlikely.
BBM.
I've been absent for the forums for...
I hear you, and I don't disagree with you.
But how I (or you, or we) feel about their level of cooperation is inconsequential when assessing whether or not they are actually being cooperative.
We also have no idea what information, if any, has been shared from the Laundrie parents to LE. It's...
They were also living in small quarters, engaging in terrain-based activities regularly as part of their lifestyle.
I don't think scratches / marks would have garnered much, if any, attention due to the lifestyle they were leading.

Have they, though?
I think a lot of assumptions / accusations are being thrown around based on our perceptions of how they should be behaving in this situation.
Just because they're not chatting up a storm on major news networks to satisfy our curiosity doesn't mean they haven't been...
RSBM.
I felt very strongly while watching the bodycam footage from this stop that the bearded LE officer was leading the first-on-scene LE officer. Lots of "it's your call, I trust you to make the call" comments, but they were all either prefaced by or followed up with "but this is what I'd do"...
Considering their lawyer is also a family friend, I don't see this as strange.
I suspect the Laundries are spending a great deal of time with / communicating with this person on personal and professional levels.
Perhaps their capacity for asking for these samples only became possible once the federal warrant was issued. Prior to that, maybe they had no jurisdiction to make this request for a 'person of interest.'
I did find it interesting that a Halloween reference was made at the time it was.
Seemed a bit premature ... or late.
Would have been a bit more explainable had it been a few days earlier, on September 22, the first day of Fall.
Precisely.
If I was those parents, I'd be lawyering up, too.
Doesn't inherently imply guilt, complicity or anything other than being thrust into a mess.
Fight or flight.
Acting on advice of others.
Action over inaction.
Maybe they were told they couldn't help search. Those out there are not a civilian team.
Maybe their going to meet a lawyer, be it 3.5 minutes or 3.5 hours away from home, is their way of coping, fighting, acting and preparing...
That was me; thanks for your insight.
To clarify, I wasn't trying to insinuate that leaving wouldn't also be a form of emotional abuse. Perhaps my referencing the behaviour being incongruent with his spoken-for character traits was a misspeak, but I do still find it interesting that he'd leave...
