The mother said “a person claiming to be Carlee.” It could have been a message from any number saying “this is Carlee” — she could plausibly be using someone else’s phone or somehow acquired a new one.
It’s not clear how a random person would have the mother’s number to text, but as suggested...
A lot of things have been said by friends and family (who may very well simply be saying what they genuinely think to be correct and may or may not have the relevant information), we will see where the police investigation lands.
It’s an aside to this thread, but adult citizens are simply not abducted off the streets of the US and subjected to “human trafficking” in any significant numbers. I in fact, can’t think of a case anywhere in the world where that’s happened.
Of course, adult citizens are occasionally kidnapped...
Discussed this on this thread earlier but among other things, this tweet confirms that the description “unresponsive” was not a term used by medical staff but by whoever called 911, therefore very possibly did not carry the usual meaning employed when those in emergency medicine use it.
Fair enough. We’ll see, but I consider it extremely unlikely personally there was ever a child at the side of the road and until I see mainstream media that says there was or was likely to have been, I won’t consider that to be true on my end…
I also don’t think “unresponsive” was accurate for...
I’m tremendously sorry for Corrie’s mother, but what Corrie did as a grown adult wasn’t remotely sensible and anyone else doing it is being daft as a brush.
I don’t see why companies should have to worry about changing procedures and take more time to empty bins because of what a small number...
I know you didn’t ask me but… a nervous breakdown doesn’t have a specific definition and manifests differently for different people. It essentially means you can’t cope with life temporarily but is pretty much a catch-all for a person going through extreme unmanageable stress.
It’s quite...
This is an old link as the Identification Division changed names some years ago, this is the department that checks fingerprints. This link seems to relate to where a body has been found as it mentions the Laboratory too.
That said, the FBI only “automatically” become involved in missing...
I find panic attack the most likely scenario in context, although we don’t have the information.
If Carlee was dropped off at her home by someone else and arrived unconscious, this would be in press reports and the police would have arrested the abductor / person who brought her back or be...
I’ve also seen “unresponsive” used for those who are in a sort of catatonic state. So, maybe able to get home and knock on a door but not really able to communicate what happened. I hope more details are made available at an appropriate time.
Or it qualifies “unresponsive”,which could mean unconscious, but perhaps doesn’t in this case.
If she was dropped off genuinely totally unconscious at home rather than getting there under her own steam I think this story would be reported entirely differently. I know what my assumptions are...
I’ve never heard of this before but it seems an urban myth — that someone would use a small child as bait for a woman etc. My parents once found a small child by the side of the road who was genuinely lost, got out of his back garden and miles from home in a rural area. I’ve never heard of it...
Just a personal view, but, if Nicola, someone with her life quite together, a job she was good at, and people who loved her, was going through spells of problem drinking (the call her sister made, Paul’s observations) and then stopping (no alcohol in her system, Paul confirming she had stopped)...
This also says that Nicola’s sister called the mental health crisis team over her health including some increased alcohol use, and the services visited to find her intoxicated, so any idea that the alcohol problem story may have emanated from only one source and that source is not reliable, can...

No evidence of harm or assault, also says Nicola wasn’t drinking before her death.
Presumably the coroner has taken the view that PF’s information will not be of any material assistance in determining what happened to Nicola and when. Difficult to say if I personally agree or not until we see the evidence the coroner is using. What I do know about this case is various people...
I still think Bellfield is playing games and enjoying it, but totally prepared to eat my words if this search finds Elizabeth after all this time and her family and friends get to lay her to rest properly and the answers they deserve.
I totally agree, but given this report is only from Stone’s lawyers and Bellfield has previously been looked at for this case, that’s my suspicion. The press often report briefings from defence solicitors when there is nothing there. Prepared to hold my hands up to being wrong if there is...
