Agreed. I'm not buying a hitman did it. AM absolutely had the means, motive and opportunity to do the deadly deed himself.
Very strange that one gun was left at the scene and the other is missing. Sloppy / incompetent. Hitmen don't do that.
I think there was one killer who used two different...
2002 Ford Explorer - a 19 year old car. Seems that would be the very LAST car a thief would steal.
Apartment and car lights on. Two adults walking back and forth outside. Two kids who could cry or scream at any moment. Seems like a car thief's worst nightmare.
Something wrong with this story.
I know we live in a 24/7 society but seems more than a bit strange to be grocery shopping at 1AM with very young children. Indeed, there may be a very ordinary (if unusual) reason but it still strikes me as odd.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed wasn’t the only weapons expert working on 'Rust.' Who was the ‘armorer mentor’?
How much of an "armorer mentor" can you be if you're never even on set?
Eddie allegedly conspired with and agreed to kill AM.
AM (theoretically) wanted to kill Eddie.
How is it that neither killed the other? LOL
I'm pretty sure AM had NO intention of dying that day and neither did Eddie.
As far as Eddie being the double murder "hitman"? Nah, I don't see it at all...
Great point, Elley. Agreed, beyond his attorneys, he doesn't seem to have much support from any quarter. If he does, they're sure being silent. Five deaths now associated with this family + plus AM's frauds, endless dramas and lord knows what else.
Maybe that's exactly why AM called...
So the very first thing you do after meeting someone who's traveled cross-country to meet you in person for the first time is to LEAVE her alone on a hiking trail to fend for herself, without water, in 105 degree heat, in a strange city they've never been to before?!
Yeah, sounds totally...
Alec Baldwin calls for police officers on movie and TV sets with guns after fatal ‘Rust’ shooting
Experienced, licensed armorers (aka weapons masters) are experts trained in modern / historical weapons, both firearms and blades.
Cops are trained in cop guns and cop culture, not Hollywood...
I read the initial details of this story and every 'hackle' on my back went straight up. My antenna went crazy. Some things just scream WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Griffin and AM met just hours before the fake roadside drama. Could they have both hatched that plan together? After all, AM needed some reason to morph himself into a "victim", to be instantly whisked away to "rehab" ... away from all his cascading legal / financial problems.

Why not do the "assisted suicide" (excuse me while I LOL) at secluded Moselle? What was the point of doing it in broad daylight on the very public Salkehatchie Rd?
AM's alleged "drug addiction"* may be false cover for his real drug smuggling / running. see Barrett T. Boulware.
* Seriously, I don't see how it's possible to even consume say, $10M worth of drugs. Seems like that level of alleged "addiction" would have killed him years ago, directly or...
'Rust' cameraman calls armorer's sabotage allegations 'dangerous' and 'irresponsible'
... former camera crew department head Lane Luper rejected the suggestion that someone intentionally planted live rounds of ammunition into the box of dummy rounds that armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed used to...
AM's first story (a lie) was that a stranger tried to shoot/kill him (AM was indicted for his false police report). When that story didn't fly he switched to the "assisted suicide" story.
If allegedly willing "co-conspirator" CES did not kill AM to complete the "assisted suicide" what was the...
