    2009.03.25 - Motions Hearing

What! Who is paying for this then?? There has to be a mystery benefactor. Or maybe JB is a cheap lawyer and is taking the $200,000 from the summer Caylee pictures. + advertising

Totally agree- ESPECIALLY contracts! If there is a dispute over the current contract, the old one is great evidence to explain any ambiguities in the current contract. JB has to have them

Even if we don't get to hear about it now- lets be real guys. Someone, somewhere, will leak this at some point.

Civil retainer agreements can set out the fee schedule- saying the lawyer gets 1/3 of the verdict (if its a contingency case). Or it can set out the lawyer's billable rate, etc.

A retainer agreement is a contract that you are hiring the lawyer to represent you. You are "retaining" him. Can be used for other people you hire too- I think.

If there was a cigarette burning, I'd lean towards she heard something outside/down the block, and ran down to check thinking it was her husband/kids- since she was expecting them. In one of the above articles it said bloodhounds went down the block to the highway, then stopped. Something could...

New Pics Of KC Halloween Party

Oh and I don't think these are the "bad" pictures from the FBI. The FBI has seen awful, awful things. If that was me, and my parents saw, they'd be disappointed and mad - especially since there were pictures on the internet that could "haunt me" for life - but I don't think its in any way...

New Pics Of KC Halloween Party

Looks like KC and them went to a Halloween party, got wasted, and came to this apartment full of...not wasted people. Not the best thing to do, and not pleasant to remember the next morning- but it happens to even the most moral, buttoned up, stuffy, pearls & cardigans type of nerd. (Plead the...

WA WA - Nancy Moyer, 36, Tenino, 6 March 2009

Question for the locals- the articles describe the area as very rural, but is it the type of place where people go jogging outside? Or has it been too cold for that? Thinking about what possibly could have happened, if something upset Nancy maybe she went out for a jog? That's the only...

I think Chico is talking about the article I posted about the co-worker's family. Mods- I didn't mean to bring up anyone's family situation as a topic of discussion, I just thought it was relevant that the co-worker only lived in WA for less than 4 years- to show it wasn't a life-long family...

    CA-Amber Leeanne Dubois (14 YO)- Escondido #1

OH! OH, I get it now. Good thinking, guys! In my head my attention went right to the "in the end" - I was thinking more along depressed lines, like those songs that sing about "in the end nothing matters." But now I 100% see how it could be interpreted very sickly!

    Procedure and legal questions

LE wouldn't need a warrant if SP voluntarily gave them the documents or information. We all have a right to NOT have our property searched and seized without cause- a S&S warrant basically says that a judge thinks there is cause for LE to go in and look and take things for their investigation...

Casey's Diary Entry for June 21st & Missing Pages #2

I don't think they would photograph something like this and not take it- the date "June 21" at the top is just too relevant. I would think they would take it to at least run the UPC to see when this item was offered for sale, and to test the pages for indents or the ink for dating. I don't...

LIST Case Questions and Answers For Members #6

Legally speaking, direct evidence is something that on its face proves what its supposed to prove. There is no "jump" or connection to make. Hmmm an example: all 5 of my finger prints were clearly on a book would be direct evidence that at some point, I touched that book. Circumstantial...

    2009.03.20 Document Release

On page 4970- it says there was a "pen register and trap and trace" installed based on an "Order" and "Application and Affidavit" - all of which were sealed. So LE got a warrant for a wiretap - who was it? The A home? TL's was consensual so you don't need a court order- and since this report...

    Casey's Photobucket

Based on the pictures I'd say its definitely the same ring. Her hair looks very short in those pictures, so it must be a few years old? Also- Tiffany & Co.'s prices went up dramatically in the past year or so- almost 100% for most things. A few years ago that ring was around $80- I remember...

    2009.03.20 Document Release

I think they took the snake as corroborating evidence of RK's story. If RK said "we didn't go down there because there was a snake," the defense could say BS show us the snake- now LE can show them the snake.

WA WA - Nancy Moyer, 36, Tenino, 6 March 2009

Yeah, it seemed to me when I first read it like he was talking to an Angel. I know some people pray by actually talking to loved ones who have died, as if they were calling them on the phone. But its really, really strange here in this situation- if she is missing and fighting for her life I...
