The ironic thing is that JSS did such a good job as she went along to prevent issues for an appeal it is doubtful there is anything remaining to try for a new trial. Different legal experts have said that it is also unlikely that if she did get a new trial that the state could try for the death...

Now I am wondering if JA didn't allocate because they knew juror 17's intention. It didn't make sense at the time, but now it does. No reason to give a fake apology in public. I thought I would feel better when this all ended, but the way this went down is not a relief at all.

LOL.....it took me about a year on here before I could even figure out how to post. I went ahead and took pics of the pages with my cell phone but then somebody on here threw out the "don't want to get subpoenaed" thing so I will just end up deleting them. Should learn how to do the screen...

Interesting article. However, I did notice the murdered inmates were all male. Besides the obvious (JA is a murderous female) I don't think she is as likely as a male prisoner to be murdered. JMO.

I just looked and the list of juror names is STILL on that website. I tried to copy it so I could send it to JM or anyone who could use it, but it wont copy. Tried right click, it hilites, but it wont copy. Hopefully somebody already has it copied and can prove it came from that website.

Everyone needs to look at the legal questions thread. AZLawyer posted the guidelines for when a judge can remove a juror and when you read it, you will see it is virtually impossible to do so. I know there aren't many of us here who are JSS fans, I get that. But I do believe she did...

AZL, thank you. This is quite illuminating. I guess JSS knows what she is doing. I hope more people read this as I think it will help to quell some of the frustration and anger people are feeling right now. It doesn't address how the juror made it onto the jury, but it certainly explains why...

Honestly, I am not indicting Juan Martinez for this. However, from what is being reported this stealth juror wasn't particularly stealthy. she admitted she knew about the case, she admitted she watched the movie. Why didn't he use a strike to pass on her. I don't get it.

She definitely did an amoral thing by being a sleeper juror. However, by harassing and threatening her it will make the prospect of jury duty too scary for people. Do NOT harass or threaten that woman. We are better than that. Please, we cant be like those people on the DT.

Much as I detest MDLR, I don't think juror 17 was a plant per se. I think it was just everyone knew it would only take ONE juror to throw it and they were hoping as hard for that ONE as we were for the DP.

Does anyone know if Juan was out of juror strikes and that is how the stealth juror made it on the jury?

One last question AZL. First thanks for all your help during both phases of these trials. What I was wondering is if she wins a new trial on appeal, can she still be subject to possible death sentence?

I feel empty and numb. No way could I even look at the alexanders, they are certainly in as much pain as the day they learned he was murdered.
