I don't disagree. If either was impaired by alcohol or drugs they should not have been in the water. However, if the circumstance was that they had both indulged I would not put the blame any more on him than her. All that said, I don't believe they were snorkeling at all.

Not to say this is the case here but people do recreationally use/abuse sleeping pills such as Ambien by deliberately taking them in large doses during the day and fighting the impulse to sleep.

I can't read a map, well, I can if I turn the map and my body the way I need to go... If she can't read a map then we can only assume she's not looking at the map to go in another direction, but is actually trying to get to the freeway and for whatever reason can't.

It seems it would have been newsworthy if the clerks had indicated she was looking for someplace else. If she was concerned about no one knowing where she was really headed, why didn't she just buy her own map?

Perhaps the family could release more pictures of Kayleah - hopefully ones that represent her appearance at the time she disappeared - to give the media something to grab on to. Wednesday will be the 1 month anniversary and that is another "hook" for the family, friends and the online community...
