I don't understand why the parents called her death in? I'm glad they did so they can face some form of justice, but did they just think no one would notice the neglect?
Appalling.
When water is nearby and someone goes missing, it's nearly always the water.
I'd dearly love it not to be, and I don't think I'm alone in this, so this is perhaps why people enjoy or consider conspiracy theories about what else might've happened.
Any alternative is better than the obvious scenario.
Will be interested to find out more of the details on this one. I do believe it's possible to do this accidentally (didn't author Nicholas Evans have this happen to him and friends/family?), but it is currently sounding quite odd that the cook managed to avoid it herself.
But maybe the fact her...
There must be a fair few exhibits around the world. I've been to the Titanic exhibition at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool a couple of times over the decades and they have a lot. A very moving exhibition.
I have known a prem baby choke on milk and die at a few months old (shortly after coming home from hospital so still quite vulnerable). He was being held upright at the time. Just one of those things.
It seems odder here at first glance because the twins have already been in the news, but it's a...
I will edit into my post that I'm not blaming the victim - I just wish she had the right kind of experience to know it was not a good idea, but for some of us it's obvious and for some of us it needs time
After the thread about the young family who succumbed to the heat while hiking, it became apparent to me that people who want to hike will sometimes do so regardless of whether it looks like a good decision to outsiders (who also have the benefit of hindsight). It seems so strange to me that she...
I remain intrigued by how this case will play out. I can't imagine how awful it is for the parents of the babies, having to wait so long for whatever version of 'justice' they are going to get. I sort of hope the evidence is clear, so that no one has wasted time here :(
It's just another case that makes me think if I ever end up covered in blood in a hotel room next to a dead body, I'll just say 'sex game gone wrong' and shrug.
Ahem. Of course I will strive to ensure that never happens!
She's very brave to waive anonymity while waiting for DNA results to come back. She was so drunk in that video I'm surprised she can remember much about that night at all. An odd case.
So difficult for the family. Good to have news, but it's the type of news that rather leaves you hanging. If there was any pictorial evidence linking them to Andrew surely they wouldn't have been released at all?
In shock, or they're like him and angry that he's going to end up going to jail over this. It's certainly not very supportive of the victims' family to turn up in such large, potentially intimidating numbers.
Indeed - it may seem like a lot, but I seem to recall in the Station Nightclub fire lawsuits, they went after everyone they could, because it was the only way to be hopeful of getting a meaningful sum for the victims. I remember they went after Budweiser (I think...) who were running a promotion...
I'm interested to read more reporting on this one. I suspect it will simply come down to too many people allowed into one caged area. Density was too high, and then you only need one person to fall over for the same to happen to lots of people. I've read a few reports on how these crushes happen...
I find myself somehow defending AB again but I think as an actor, experience may actually lead to complacency. If you've done scores of movies before and there's never been a problem, and you've been able to trust every single person giving you a gun, you may not question an AD telling you a gun...
I think there's a lot of hindsight bias (if I've picked the right term) going on in this discussion (inc. previous thread). It's very easy to say you would NEVER do what AB did, that you would ALWAYS check, but IMO as an actor who's done many films you're going to rely on the people with skills...
I think what makes the case so baffling is that many of us feel like we would struggle to make the same decisions they did. I don't even have a dog, but here in the UK it is all over my local FB groups that you shouldn't take a dog out in hot weather for a walk (and that's just regular UK...
It's going to be such a slow rescue. I really hope/want to assume they will be able to find everyone who is missing so that their families can have some peace.
