Sentencing and beyond- Jodi Arias General Discussion #2

That program comes on tonight at 9 on the REELS channel. Weren't Dan and his sister people who took up for Jodi and testified for the prosecution? I thought at least one of them visited her in jail. If so, it will be interesting to see what he says now.

MISTRIAL NC - Jonathan Ferrell, 24, fatally shot by LE, Charlotte, 14 Sep 2013

I just read on a channel 9 (WSOC-TV Charlotte) app that Ferrell yelled, "Shoot me! Shoot me!" to the police that night. The medical examiner will say that Ferrell was on top of Kerrick for most of the 10 shots that night. This is what the defense attorney said during opening statements.

MISTRIAL NC - Jonathan Ferrell, 24, fatally shot by LE, Charlotte, 14 Sep 2013

Ferrell's BAC was 0.6. Even though .08 is considered too drunk to drive, the alcohol would have impaired him some. He was probably tired and sleepy at that time of the morning. He was in a pretty serious crash. I remember running into a ditch back in the early 1970s. It was raining, and I wasn't...

Sentencing and beyond- Jodi Arias General Discussion #1

Monica has this wrong. Jodi was found guilty of first degree PREMEDITATED murder. All twelve of the jurors did not vote for FELONY murder.

I read an article about Aaron Hernandez. It listed 20 signs of a psychopath. I immediately realized that most of those signs described Jodi perfectly. http://www.boston.com/sports/blogs/obnoxiousbostonfan/2014/05/aaron_hernandez_textbook_psychopath_who_fooled_us_all.html?p1=Must_Reads

GUILTY MA - Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots player, charged with homicides #4

I haven't kept up with this trial like I did the Jodi trial, but I'm beginning to think that either this jury is as dumb as the Casey Anthony jury or there are one or two diehard fans of the Patriots on that jury.

I don't see how her mother saw bruises on her when Jodi was in Southern California and Arizona and her mother was in Northern California near the border with Oregon.

Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #6

I only saw this last part. I figured the picture was blurry so no one would figure out what Jodi looked like and get past the guards and break into the jail to free her. Since I couldn't hear anything Wilmott said, I just figured out what made sense with the answers Jodi gave. I learned that she...

I wish they would also do something that shows what a wonderful person Travis was. Maybe a network like HLN could have a one-hour special about his life. The only time I would want them to mention Jodi's name is when they say that she is the person who is sweating out the rest of her life in...

Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #1

Does anyone know what types of things Jodi would say in her statement? I wish some rules could be made for her that she can't get anyone to tweet for her or she will go down a step. She can't, in public or on social media, make any negative comments about Travis, his siblings, or close...

I disagree 100%! The one juror refused to deliberate! She didn't do her job! If she had discussed the trial with the other jurors, told what it would have taken for Jodi to deserve the death penalty, explained what mitigator(s) weighed more than the brutality of this heinous murder, and still...

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44, Part 2

I don't want Jodi to be put to death. I want her to have to live in solitary confinement and not have all the privileges that inmates can earn if they are given a life sentence. IMO she has not earned the right to be in the general population. She has never felt one second of remorse. She...

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

I personally like Judge Stephens. I just think she let the defense get by with too much, most of it lies, and that had to influence the jury. I don't think she had any idea that Nurmi would bring in so much slime. I don't think many judges have had to put up with defendants as evil and as...

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

If the jury votes for life, I would like one of the jurors who did so to tell us the exact words that Jodi said that told them she was remorseful. I never heard any. She mentioned that she wished the event never happened, but that's because she doesn't want to be in prison. Travis was right...

I want to watch this, too. That little guy suffered so much while he was trapped in his daddy's hot car. There's no way Josh forgot Cooper was in the car when Chick-fil-a was so close.

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

Travis and Mormonism were on trial. Since Travis was a deeply-religious person, everything he did was scrutinized. I think Jodi is an atheist. For those of us who have kept up with this trial, just reading comments such as Jodi saying " Heavenly Father will be disappointed in what you have done"...
