as we don't have any sightings except the one, there isn't a whole lot I can add, but here's my two cents...
I definitely think they could survive for awhile on $4500. I also think it's highly likely he squirreled away at least an additional $500 or so. If he was hiding this whole thing from...
I definitely think a woman could be involved... I was just implying above that it would be much less likely for a woman to have committed the crime. Not impossible, just less likely. Women very much lower suspicions in children it seems (either from seeming maternal to not having been warned of...
I was looking up cases that haven't been bumped, (and of course this is not a MSM update), but look up facebook profiles and this guy seems to be safe. Obviously not a "given" but definitely appears all is above board.
This one has always bothered me. Her height and weight to me sound suspect... It's obviously not impossible for a 12 year old to be 5'8" 120lb (I even know a 12/13 year old girl about those measurements), but combined with the fact that the reported missing date is so unsure... Just all comes...
They probably know or have a good guess, but don't want to put that out there until maybe notification of next of kin (if possible). They probably put the bit out there about "natural causes" or "unlikely a homicide" so no one is freaking out about murderers on the loose. Also decedent could...
It would, IMO be a pretty selfless thing for an "ex stepdad" to know that he will come under fire and scrutiny for her disappearance and just take that fall for her so that she can start a new life or whatever (without any financial means, car, etc) and to still be taking the heat a year later...
thanks for the links! I'm caught up I think...
Here's my thing... besides that fact that SD looks shady as all get out and that has always been my number1 thought...
Is it possible she really did what the last text to her mom said, which was to stay at a friend's house? Is it possible that...
One thing that surprises and maybe angers me too, is that no one has come forward and said something about KA's and SD's relationship. Fights, good relationship, volatile, friendly... anything? I haven't heard any "it couldn't be him because..." but nor have I heard any "we should have known"...
I totally get what you're saying, but I wouldn't say "no excuse". There is almost always a possible reason. Maybe a father of one of the kids threatened to take them away or kill them or whatever, and maybe it was said in person (no written evidence). NOT saying that is what happened here, but...
woah! haven't checked this thread in a while... okay guys. I have a less tin foil scenario here...
She disappeared at a community event. Assuming all reported facts are truth, I have to assume that someone (probably male) abducted her from the event and lived in less than a 20 mile radius...
All I want to say is that while I think it's likely that the posters who say they are members of Amy's family, are telling the truth... I think per "TOS"/websleuths rules/culture... we aren't supposed to believe anyone who claims insider info without an official verification...
So if someone...
Yeah I wonder why they even posted that... like I would remember a co-worker or something having a scratch on his hand a year ago. It just seems too late for any of that info to ever hold up. That's the kind of stuff they should have put out there less than a week after she was reported...
This case just kind of horrifies me. It's not the showy/bloody/shocking type of thing like other cases, but it's the fact that a girl just at the start of adulthood can go missing for an entire year under pretty suspicious circumstances and so little is done to find her or get justice for her...
so weird no one ever said anything else about this case. It's so bizarre. Last I read they didn't match anyone in the system, but it seems strange they never really followed up on this.
also, hypothetically, if whatever happened is the "most likely" scenario at this point, why haven't relatives like the mom or sister come out and said something?! It seems like this wouldn't be the first and only violent episode or weird thing or whatever.
I hope I'm not crossing any lines, but given that LE basically have now said that the story given by the last person to see her is likely false, why in the heck haven't they searched that person?
