Why don't you guys start a new thread devoted to the housing/food expenses for TA's family and that way people can follow along, donate whatever they can, be it goods or services or a donation to the Justice4Travis fund and catch up on what is needed at the present time, rather than try to dig through and look for that information in the court observer thread or the KCL thread.

ETA: sent request to mods....:)

For you Travis - they might try to fade the ribbon's away, but your spirit and memory can't be faded. So new ribbons to use -- to place on facebook, the other pages or anywhere and everywhere!
Yeah, my way of venting is often graphic!

That is a great idea! I would like to add that the Alexander family should contact the local LDS/Mormon Relief Society. I would bet some members would open up their homes to the family so they would have a place to stay during the trial. I was raised Mormon and I really think the Relief Society sisters would love to help TA's family. MOO

What is this I hear that the defense asked the family and supporters to remove their Travis ribbons and that the family refused, but supporters complied? Any info anyone??

It's to not let any one show compassion and love for Travis. It might make the jury feel their pain and suffering and not give Jodi a fair verdict.

It's OK , Travis's sisters and brother will wear theirs, and we'll quietly surround them with much needed WebSleuth love that that whole courtroom will feel Travis's presence and be humbled.

I have children these kids ages. It hurts me as a mother to see their pain and to know what they have been through growing up. Thank God for grandmas.

Ok peeps. I am working on possibly setting up a separate thread to discuss possible donations to the family. But for this, I need to get permission from the owners, Tricia and SoSueMe. We've left them a message and they'll get back to me asap.

In the meantime, please know that Websleuths has nothing to do with the donations or the destination of these donations. I'm sure everything is on the up and up, but Websleuths isn't guaranteeing anything with that regard.

I'll let you all know as soon as I hear from Tricia and SoSueMe.

Thank you,
fran

I'm just not seeing what other people are seeing anyhow. Looks like she was just observing something strange one of the jurors did and Wilmott was laughing with her. Nothing more. Jury doesn't look at Jodi. NOW enough from me! Waiting for notes. Sounds like the jury was bored ALL DAY, even when Juan was up.

Someone said that one of the female jurors was cacling! Laughing loud
But what do I know ! I'm Helen and I'm tellen.

Thanks Fran!

KCL,

Just wondering if you know... is the Mitigation Specialist a lawyer that maybe specializes in that aspect of law? Or is a Mitigation Specialist a totally separate career? Just curious:dunno:

Thank you Fran! Glad you got my "nudge"

I donated via this page https://www.facebook.com/TravisAlexanderFund?fref=ts via their PayPal link. I hope it is the page where the funds go directly to Samantha for their travel & lodging expenses. I hope they get enough in donations to see the end of the trial, get the opportunity to have their say before sentencing, and get to witness the sentencing. If this trial is still going on next month, I will donate again AND when the time comes for a victory celebration, will send funds in my stead so I can be there in spirit.

I donated there and got a really nice note from Samantha. They really appreciate the kind generosity of everyone. How kind of you to donate as well.

I donated as well. My heart goes out to the family. They are all so brave, I would hope I could be as stoic as they are in court, my prayers go out to them.

Once you find a place I'm willing to pitch in for two months 100.00 each month (maybe more). Once we find the place I'm sure we can come up with 10 or 15 people to do the same. Also try corporate apartments.
:great: COUNT ME IN!!!

It's not a lot, but I just sent them $50 via www.facebook.com/TravisAlexanderFund paypal link. I hope it gets where it can be useful to the family.

I'm going to Morocco in May, and will be on the lookout for something with elephants that "hits" me.
