I was interested in the subject of mobile phone pings which I knew nothing about. I found this article about metadata that is available from our mobile phones. Interestingly, it appears that police don't need a warrant to get this information. It's amazing what can be gathered from this data not only in terms of incoming and outgoing calls and text messages, but also location, patterns in your daily life, and so much more.

Here's the link to the article if anyone is interested:

I'm wondering if the police have used metadata gathered from Karen's phone, as well as her family's. Could this be why they are searching certain areas in the north-west outskirts of Melbourne? I know Karen's phone was turned off, but BR's might not have been. Or whoever else is a POI.

At present im here.

1. Karen- POI's at home.
2. Argument\Altercation\Accident.
3. Vehicle\s removing evidence.
4. Search narrowing due to ph pings?

Several POI's making public comment to the detriment of themselves.

Now that's gutter journalism right there! AR has never said on Facebook that he was having an affair with Karen. He whinged and moaned about molestation. FFS, Karen Ristevski is missing, presumed dead and some MSM outlets are having a field day at her expense! Bloody disgusting!

Please allow me to feel that ounce pity for this guy.
I pity Sarah, Karen.....Michael Jackson, Ralph Mouth & Scotty Cam

I find it unusual for you to tell me what to do. :D

My hinky metre has served me well to date.

Hear Hear you go "they'll get you " along with your hinky metre.

Oh FFS! I feel my second 'tanty' of the day coming on. :hills:

A 15 year old is not an adult!

A fifteen year old male or female may APPEAR to present as and adult..however their respective brain physiologically will not assume and develop into early mid 20's in my limited opinion.

The Daily Mail are disgusting!
I fell so so sorry for Sarah :(

[h=1]Missing Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski: Crucial new clues emerge in police probe[/h]
THE mobile phone of missing mum Karen *Ristevski was tracked to 40km northwest of her *Melbourne home hours after she vanished.

The Herald Sun can reveal crucial new clues as police continue to probe her June 29 disappearance.
It is understood mobile phone data shows that Mrs Ristevski’s phone “pinged” — was detected by transmitter towers — on the *Calder Highway near *Gisborne that day.
On the same day, the phone of her husband, Borce, was pinged on the Calder near Diggers Rest, about 20km northwest of their home in Avondale Heights.
Data also reveals that his phone was switched off for about two hours on June 29.

--------------------------------
We're on the right track.
It's just a matter of time before Karen's found.

And the fact that police are releasing this information to MSM and the public indicates they have a strong suspicion of BR's involvement in Karen's disappearance.

It’s a tragic missing persons case with bizarre twists that are slowly being leaked.
Mrs Ristevski has been married to her husband Borce for about 25 years but Anthony Rickard, Mrs Ristevski’s meth-addicted stepson, has been a weight on their relationship.
He’s made wild claims on Facebook he had an affair with his stepmother and they had plans to run away together.
Mr Rickard has also heavily criticised his father, Karen’s husband, on Facebook and called him a coward.
He said his father watched him do drugs and “allowed Karen to continue her fantasy of leaving u (sic) to run away with me”.

A Current Affair said they gave him a fake offer of $50,000 but claimed he turned it down and said he wanted $200,000.
Mr Rickard told the Herald Sun the program approached him with a money offer and he did not ask for cash.

Chris Ristevski was “disgusted” by Mr Rickard’s apparent attempt to sell his story.
“That’s the type of person he is,” he said.
“He’s used everyone around him. He’s used Karen and Borce. Karen and Borce have both given him cars, which he’s totally destroyed. Money, accommodation, and he’s just abused it.”
The nephew also claimed he loaned Mr Rickard $2000, which was never paid back.

We're on the right track.
It's just a matter of time before Karen's found.

BINGO! He's gone!!

Interestingly, I was just doing a google maps search this evening of the dirt road where Jill Meagher's body was found - Black Hill Road in Gisborne South. It struck me as quite isolated. And made me realise what a huge task it would be for police to find Karen's body on their own.

I would imagine their might be more dirt tracks around that area...Anyone here know Gisborne?

As i said earlier the net closes,

phone pings cannot determine occupants in vehicles though:thinking:

Here's 3 maps that shows Gisborn, Diggers Rest & Avondale Heights

That's true Unit. But BR will have to explain where he was while his phone was on the Calder Highway. I expect to read there has been an arrest in the morning.
