I heard her call him the 'f' word right in the middle, which demonstrates she wasn't overly scared of him, or intimidated by him.

What also wasn't on the tape was her screaming for the neighbors to call the police. Where is the frantic panic? Why doesn't she smash through the door?

The tape also didn't record her thoughts, or her intent. Everyone is speculating at best.

Very similar to any bar bouncer escorting a beligerant drunk outside, who is resisting, and screaming "you're assaulting me" or "don't touch me".

True - but they don't put that drunk on a 14th floor balcony do they?

Good night all!!!

Just because of the big discrepancy in size, it doesn't mean she can't injure him. I'm 6'2 and the worst injury I received in all my years working as a bouncer was from a highly intoxicated woman, no more than 5'2. I gently escorted her to the door, the more she resisted, the more I tried to encourage her without using excessive force, I eventually had to put my hand firmly on her arm and in a flash she took off her shoe and put her stiletto heel through my lip, knocking two teeth out, leaving a nasty scar. From that day on, drunk aggressive women were treated the same as drunk aggressive guys. You see a large bouncer manhandling a small woman out the door, it means he's probably experienced.

She was drunk and upset. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that she started over the edge intending to throw a scare into him, and lose footing or balance.
I get your point, and the attempt for us to look at this situation from every side.
There didn't seem time for her to threaten or tease that threat. Facts are what they are and these jurors have a hellish job ahead.

Gnite![emoji42]

...What did he do? In the middle of the chaos, he grabbed her, escorted her outside, and closed the door behind him. When dealing with someone out of control, like with someone suffering from a mental illness, it is called "de-escalation"...

Are you suggesting that placing her on the balcony was a reasonable thing to do in the situation? Maybe it would be, if he hadn't already mentioned walking her out the door and hadn't continually mentioned the balcony in reference to death. But he did do both of those things. This makes the decision to place her on the balcony even more unreasonable.

But she didn't injure him.

Shame that happened to you, though, it sounds very painful.

Do you believe he did the right thing, removing her to the balcony,as opposed to out the front door?

BBM - and Trained in the correct manner to do so.

When GT threatened to throw the "Little Psycho B**ch" over the balcony doesn't that prove Intent? It was definitely on his mind. That would def. be murder and intent to murder.
And who knows if that isn't exactly what he did? to place her over that balcony and lock her out there. No witness witnessed very much. What kind of guy says that to a female after he plies her with some homemade alcohol of which he had no way of knowing what kind of effect it would have on her? She thought she was drinking vodka didn't she? He is definitely responsible for that.

I'm sorry to hear that zed. Dangerous job.

What was he mad about? Why did he have her by the throat? Why did he lock her out on the balcony? Because if she didn't hit him then what was he mad about? Why did he want her to leave when initially he wanted her to stay?

..closest safe area...

You consider a 14th floor balcony a safe area in the situation? Safe from what? Fire? I can't imagine how it could be considered safe unless there was a threat to life and/or blockage of the doorway to the unit.

My thoughts & Prayers are going out to Warriena's family & friends, and sitting on my patio today having my cup of coffee i saw two beautiful hawks soaring above a big tree as i was thinking about all of this.

Sounds beautiful. I have been looking at a beautiful day too ... the ocean ... the warm sun. I only wish the weight could be lifted off Warriena's family's shoulders with some kind of relief to this horrendous situation.
Keep sending them strength and hope. I know I am.

No way was it a safe option to place a drunk person on that balcony with no way out but down. I can't see the thinking that anyone would believe that it is safe. If my son did that to a girl i would be horrified.
