If mum, brother and sister arrived the day before, HOW did dad get there so quick to frantically search back yards??? where was Dad all this time?? Where is the youngest boy??
Why is mum running after grandma when she is about to give birth!?

Moo

Sorry about all the posts lots of new info, finally!

Last warning in here guys before the ray gun comes out.

Zero speculating or sleuthing of the parents and family. It is NOT allowed!!

Thanks SA.

Im going to just keep that info in the memory bank for now until its confirmed. :fence:
I can see why Marly likes links , Im now a fan it makes things so much easier.

It does help ... Just fyi - I have maxed out my weekly quota of free online articles from the SMH and the Daily Telegraph, so that is constraining me at the moment. I haven't worked out if there is any way around that. I also can't open them if they're a link on here. Looks like I just have to wait a few days before I can read them :(

Yes, William had sandals on ... there is a pic of them I posted somewhere back in the thread. But I haven't heard what the scent item was.

"Police told Mrs Dorward that William was wearing a Spiderman suit and sandals when he disappeared.
'The rain over the past couple of weeks has caused lots of mud so we are potentially looking for a boy covered in mud... he could have lost a shoe... we were looking for torn material or a sandal,' she said."

Actually, I think he was wearing these sandals ... they are the same as the sandals pic back in the thread.

Awwww such a wonderful darling boy.
Bring him home safely please.

I want to believe in miracles.

A little boy is missing, parents must be going through a world of hell that hopefully none of us will ever go through. It's very normal for family to visit grandparents , it's very normal for them to leave early in the morning for the drive, it's very normal to leave a 3 yo for 5 minutes. <modsnip>

I was looking at my Facebook when my little boy (3 next week) pointed to William's photo and said "that's me! I told him the boy's name is William and on a whim said "where is he?" My little man immediately said "he's in the jungle, hiding under a bush, waiting for his Mum". I thought it was quite eerie, given that I haven't spoken about William to him or at all (just too upsetting). Of course it's just one of those things, I'm not suggesting my little man has psychic ability or anything. I feel so much for his Mum and hope against hope he is found safe soon.

That's a highly likely scenario. How frightened might William be with so many big men in orange suits yelling his name.

I also hope the searchers actually looked under and through those big grassy clumps.

Back on track thanks guys.

That is a scary thought...Maybe William was too scared to call out or come out of hiding. I can remember an incident when my son was the same age...happily running about with his cousins at an evening BBQ..then all of a sudden I saw him standing motionless..he wouldn't come when I called him, I physically had to walk over and pick him up....we realised he became frozen with fear because he had run from the lit patio area into the dark of the backyard...

Based on nothing but gut feeling, I am 100% behind little William's mum.

A few random thoughts of mine:
* We teach our kids about the dangers of where they live- William is from Sydney, the dangers he has been educated about at 3 are more likely city based dangers, rather than "dont go into the bush"
* A lot (but not all) of people lower their guard when out of the city- it seems safer in the country.
* When he was first noticed missing, his family likely did a cursory glance around the exterior of the property, before looking all over the house and yard. He may have only had 5 mins to disappear, but his family likely searched for at least 30 mins before calling police. A long time for a little one to run randomly, especially if he realised he was lost and panicked.
* The pics of William are beautiful. What a secure, happy, well adjusted looking child. A credit to his family. He looks well loved.
* I changed my name on facebook a few years ago. In my case, nothing to do with relationships- I went from my married name to my maiden name because I am a teacher and students were starting to find me. I just wanted a bit more separation between my work life and personal life.
* We have not seen William's parents in the media, but what is there to say? Eeva Dorendahl's mother never gave an interview, yet she had nothing to do with her daughters disappearance. By staying out of the media she kept the focus on her daughter, and not on her. Chloe's parents spoke to the media, and looked guilty fairly fast, even though they were not. Pretty quickly the parents and their friends were as big a story as Chloe.

Whatever has happened, I hope that Williams parents find out very soon, even if it is bad news. I cant imagine the nightmare they are living.

So, now we know that mum and at least two children arrived the day before. I wonder if they were out and about in town at all, getting some groceries, or petrol, or icecreams. Perhaps picking up meds for grandma as she was ill. Perhaps visiting the grandfather's plot and laying flowers. There is a good chance that quite a few people knew that there were visitors to Kendall. I know that when we lived in a small town, visitors stood out.

And news travels fast in small towns.

Within an hour phones all over Kendall were ringing as news spread that a young boy was missing.
