<sad rant > I always hurt for the mom's. It's so unfair. They love their babies with all their hearts, raise them with such hope and promise, pray with thanks that they survived the teens-late twenties, and start anticipating their marriage and those grandbabies. Then some selfish <modsnip> comes along and just takes them away with no regard for their life... the mom's dreams for her baby. It's really unfair, and horrible to have to watch play out over and over and over. Humans are evil, selfish beasts.</sad rant >

I have two 20 year old sons spending the weekend in Atlanta attending Momocon.
I always worry but I no longer curl up in the fetal position on the couch. I will be good as long as LE doesn't show up at my door and they make it to work on Monday.
I can't imagime what these parents are going through.

Their phones were "powered down" so I'm hoping one or both phones were paired to her car bcuz Apple phones can alert as to where a car is parked, so it's quite possible the police can find out where her car went that night.

I think the situation went down in Coachella or nearby. I think they were lured to someone's house or a secluded location. I think at least 2 people were involved in their disappearance because I think the person who drove her car to dump it on the freeway picked up their scent onto their own clothes & then that person was picked up by another car... the second perp. Thus the hounds losing the scent.

The early reports said she went somewhere in Coachella to pick him up... so if true... they went to someone's house out there after she picked him up, IMO.

The families are not speaking about details of this case. I'm not sure if the police are asking them not to, or if they are doing that of their own accord, but IMO just putting it out there that they are missing isn't enough.

To find them, people need to know a specific area. It's extremely important & the public is anxious to help!

It doesn't matter what people think about who they are & their character ... IT MATTERS THAT WE FIND THEM!

Who they are will come out eventually. Those who know him & know of him are MANY and no words (whether meant to be cruel or not) can shake that!

Jon where are u? There are hundreds & hundreds of people who know u & love u! Our stress levels & panic levels are off the charts, but we get to lay in our warms beds at night & u don't!

Please, please, please be found!!! It's two weeks tomorrow & sooooooooooooo many people will never be the same again if u don't come back to us! We are crushed! Hurry

Thank you for the insight. I know people on FB are really judgemental and often cruel, but that isn't happening here. Yes, trying to find out backgrounds and lifestyles helps trying to figure out mindsets, relationships and possible locations, but that should be the only reason to have such conversations. Kissnk8, I hope he is found soon and there is a happy ending. I'm x-ing my fingers.

It boggles my brain how many ppl just vanish off the face of the earth.
We should be tripping over them....there are so many.

We need a way to find out children when they go missing. No parent should go thru This.

See I think it 's strange that so many people can't believe someone doesn't do FB. I get on FB but I rarely post. I actually keep in touch with my friends and don't care enough about the "friends" from years past that friended me on FB but I don't talk to or keep up regularly with to post on a public forum details about my life. My husband doesn't have a smartphone and no FB account (no we aren't old lol), and I know a few people that don't do FB. So when I read that someone doesn't have a FB account I definitely don't think that is suspicious or think they must have one under an alias. I admit I'm addicted to Websleuths and spend to much time on here, but that is out of a passion for court cases and solving crimes. I think society spends way too much time on electronic gadgets and social media. I find it sad that someone is considered strange and suspicious because they DON'T have those accounts. Lol I need to go live with the Ingall's on the prairie. Just my opinion and no offense intended! Like I said I am on this site way too much!

Yep Or one account is for using common language that might upset mom or grandma so one acct is for relatives and the other one for other folks. It could be the language or the images that one doesn't want mom to see and freak out about. IDK. I don't have either, but I get it how others would

Is there any reward money offered yet? I haven't seen any information about a reward, but if it was my loved one I would do anything for information on their whereabouts. Maybe the families could start a account for people to donate into. Sometimes $$$ is what makes people start talking, unfortunately.

Wherever AM is, maybe her phone is also there. With a different SIM card, could someone use it undetected? Maybe someone is logging in to her stuff. Doubtful, but maybe.

I check in every day and have read every post, sometimes more than once, but have there been any searches conducted? I don't recall any mention of one. I know there isn't a specific location, and Brawley to Beaumont is a HUGE amount of territory to cover, but do we know if anyone has looked anywhere besides the general area of where the vehicle was located? Has either one of their residences been gone though?

Is anyone else conflicted on whether or not one or both of them was actually in the vehicle when it was left on the side of I-10? I have great faith in dogs and know they are capable of AMAZING things when it comes to tracking a scent, but I'm not sure if I believe either one of them made it to Beaumont in Audrey's vehicle. Something about that is just not setting well with me. My gut is telling me to look back near Coachella/Palm Desert/Brawley.

The sister was the last to see her that night so surely she knows?... Then again I can't remember what my kids are wearing sometimes afterschool and I see them leave in the morning! &#128553;

Also, the selfie pic that is constantly mentioned that "she" sent to her sister... is that the one at the restaurant? which btw not a selfie. I read that the pic sent to the sister was a selfie taken at his apartment. I feel like there's a lot of misinformation out there... just like the direction of the scent/s. I'm sure LE has the facts straight (Lord I hope I hope) but I just can't wrap my head around everything.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but his father's name is James Darling. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Jon Darling was the name she had always known him by growing up and she was unaware of when/why he started going by Jonathan Reynoso.

I have never seen info about what they could have been wearing when they went missing. That's definitely odd to me. And I've always questioned this "selfie". Everyone assumed it was the restaurant picture that was released to the public, but that really bothered me because that picture is definitely not a selfie. Everyone these days knows what a selfie is and I don't believe her sister would call that picture a selfie. Why is everyone focusing on this restaurant picture, that probably isn't even relevant, instead of looking more into this old selfie that may or may not have even been sent by Audrey?
