needles found in Outbuilding 1 now the topic of cross examination for Cst. Ian Oxton-Ross suggests they are for gas testing #Garland

Insulin needles are very tiny needles. They would be used to draw insulin (or other liquids) from a vial. The barrel which hold insulin is usually 1 ml in volume. Insulin is measured in Units. Depending on the insulin dose nescessary to maintain a healthy BG (blood glucose) dosing can be miniscule to the naked eye. Drops, really. Most people nowadays who are diabetic and use insulin daily use a pre-loaded insulin pen (see link) which eliminates fumbling with barrels and needles and is more accurate for dosing. .http://www.novonordisk.com/patients/diabetes-care/insulin-pens-and-needles.html

#Garland triple murder trial on morning coffee break. Defence lawyer Kim Ross reviewing notes to determine if he has any more questions.

Just jumping off your post...

I think the original question was whether they are disposable or reusable. We were trying to figure out why he had hospital diapers when he seemed to have no problem ordering everything else online or buying stuff in stores like Princess Auto or Walmart. I believe the original poster thought that he may have stolen them from the hospital because they were reusable. Which is how the discussion started. Nothing in the tweets indicated that this package of 50 from Foothills Hospital were reusable. Although every reporter made it a point to tweet that the one pink flowered pair in the house were reusable.

My experience with adult family members in hospital were with disposable type. Others had different experiences. So they could have been either.

So...I guess it really doesn't matter and we've beat this horse to death. :deadhorse:

MOO

What is Princess Auto? Is that like a Canadian Tire store?

I have to admit that from the reading the tweets it seems like the Defense is doing a solid job of making it seem like much of the evidence is not of a nefarious nature and unrelated to any sort of gruesome and horrific torture/murder.

Can anyone confirm for me that the photo exhibit of jewellery, teeth, buttons (or whatever those round items were) was collected during the 2014 investigation or during the 2015 investigation? If from 2015 and there being no continuity of the scene (burn barrel/fire pit) it is very possible that those materials belonged to Doug's parents and they burned them at some point long after the initial investigation.

The only really valid point defence made imo is that the fire pit was left for 8 months unattended. Anything they found in the March search could be compromised. I don't understand why they didn't take the entire contents in July.
