In my area, it is a weekly event. Mostly due to a very large auto plant two I’m from WMT. When the factory gets paid, they hit the store. Monday a.m. things are usually restocked.
Every two weeks for the last six weeks, I have gone shopping and spent between $200 and $300. This house is stocked. It was shocking to me to go to the store yesterday, and see bare shelves. When has this ever happened in the United States? WWII? Wow.

Coronavirus: 8,000 private hospital beds rented to NHS for £2.4million per day

The Government is stepping up its fight against deadly coronavirus as the elderly will be told to self-isolate for four months and 8,000 private hospital beds are rented at a cost of £2.4million a day

8,000 private hospital beds to be rented to NHS for £2.4million per day

I just hope and pray that neither my loved ones or me end up getting the virus and need to be taken to the private hospital in Glasgow that botched my back surgery. I would refuse to go there for treatment under any circumstances.

Hi everyone, I’m still running a low grade fever. Last night it was difficult getting to sleep, coughing is much worse. Not much more I can do except take Tylenol, guaifenesin, honey and cough medicine. Plenty of tea, oranges juice and water.
l wake up hoping l’ll feel better... Nine days of a low grade fever now my cough is worse. Not much more l can do.
Take care!
PS I’m staying away from people.

I feel real concern for you, dear book-thinker. Is it a dry cough? It seems like a long time with a low-grade fever. Feel helpless to offer any good advice, but you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have cupboards and freezer full, but every time I see someone else's list I kick myself. Why didn't I buy instant mashed potatoes?!! Makes me want to go out for one more thing.
Did you get any canned Hommel Roast Beef Hash? It has potatoes in it, too.

lol....I stopped at a local Dollar Tree (I'm trying to go to smaller shops with less people) and they had Hungry Jack instant mashed potatoes and (I hope my scale will forgive me) Cheddar and Bacon au gratin potatoes. I couldn't resist.

There they go again with “virus fears”...

No the “National Guard” was not “deployed in Georgia over virus fears”, they were deployed because:

“On Saturday, Gov. Kemp also called up the National Guard, saying he will deploy as many as 2,000 troops to help with the coronavirus response.

To assist with COVID-19 mitigation and critical services, including the transfer of Georgians currently at Dobbins Air Reserve Base to their homes, the Georgia National Guard will now be available to communities to ensure the steady supply of medical equipment, food, shelter, or related materials to keep Georgians safe in the weeks ahead," Kemp said in a statement.”

I wish the media would quit sensationalizing their headlines with “fears”. It’s getting really old.

WFTV Orlando reports Daytona Beach, Fl. has
declared a City Emergency and announced no
public gatherings at city owned facilities.
Meanwhile on public streets Daytona Bike Week
is still ongoing w/ crowds and motorcycles going up and down the streets filled w/ vendors.
Yeah, the beaches on my side are packed with Spring breakers too.

Dr. Marazzo, director of Infectious Diseases at Univ of Al is on CNN. I hope the world is listening. She stressed the importance of not taking a test unless symptoms are present.

Oh my. You are really going through an ordeal Book-thinker! You may have already mentioned this, but have you spoken to a doctor? 9 days is too long to have a fever IMO. You may have a secondary bacterial infection. If that's the case, perhaps some antibiotics will help. ?? Please take care and keep us updated!

So sorry Hazel.
I can't wait for the times when we don't become sad upon expired hand sanitizers, find plenty of toilet papers on sale, buy one get one free even, everything to be normal again.
Well the first few weeks diarrhea wasn’t really mentioned much as a symptom of novel Corona. Today, seems like all the specialists include it in their list of potential symptoms. I bet those that didn’t get TP are really concerned:eek:

She busted her butt to be able to go out of state to a good university. Straight A’s and thriving. Now she’s sitting in her high school bedroom.

isn't it spring break over there though? it might be over in a month and then classes can resume or have the cancelled the entire semester now?

Hard to say. If you filter the results from low to high price, you can buy a case of Cottonelle (48 rolls) for about $50. Feel free to check my math! Some of these are "industrial" sized rolls that fit in those public bathroom, huge dispensers. IMO

yeah that's what I was wondering ... the Cottonelle says standard roll but I don't know what that means ... if it's regular size like at the grocery store, then it is insane price gouging but maybe it's like industrial size ... not sure

It's from the French Health Minister. I'm trying to find corroborating information from a second source as we speak.....
I'm an ibuprofen user as well (for headaches)
Chronic ibuprofen use have a known correlation with hypertension, and hypertension seems to be an aggrevating factor in CoViD-19. Ibuprofen - Wikipedia

We have been discussing diarrhea since the early days, aka “APVLA” which is “Aerosol Plumes of Virus-Laden Diarrhea”, and other fecal-related matters including the “fecal to oral” connection.
