My next to youngest got the flu and it was super scary - he doesn’t get sick often but when he does it’s baaaad. He was on the threshold for needing IV and hospital intervention.
He has had to have that before, with strep because he couldn’t eat or drink and he didn’t tell me he didn’t feel well until he was at the point of needing hospitalization. I remember being so angry with myself at the time for not noticing but he truly didn’t act any different than usual.
My youngest has what is called cyclical vomiting, and without his preventive he throws up daily. It doesn’t affect his weight or appetite or anything else other than his teeth. It’s comorbid with his autism. It’s quite alarming when it happens, the preventive doesn’t truly stop all of it. I had him at the doctor weekly until we got it figured out. First his GP then specialists because it is concerning with a child vomiting often! He also has other issues which we have addressed with medications using trial and error until we find the medicine and dosage that works best for him.
Im not sure what the point of this post was other than to say, when your child is sick how can a concerned parent ignore it to just ‘the medicine isn’t working because he’s still sick’ ?!?!

@ScarlettLin O/T: I believe my 8 year old has CVS as well but we are having trouble getting it diagnosed. Currently using zofran daily to control it. Sometimes works. My question for you, does your son's CVS come with migraine headaches? My son's always does and is like clockwork. Its not everyday like your son, but every single Monday without fail and occasionally on other days but always on Mondays.

Currently, his full treatment is zofran, magnesium, and once we find a liquid or chewable B-2/Riboflavin of a high enough dose, we are hoping that would help. What is your sons current regiment? Feel free to send a message so we dont take Lucas' thread too far off topic.
Thanks!

Why would a parent send a child to school with a stomach virus?

Because they can't afford to miss work or just don't give a crap? Kids come to school with illnesses all of the stinking time! Each school year, we get like 10 notices from my girls' classrooms about strep, pink eye, or flu. My daughter caught pneumonia from a classmate when she was in Kindergarten. And, a kid can only miss an X amount of days before the school gets involved if you didn't provide a doctor's slip/dental slip.

I am guessing.... that EG didn't really want Lucas around, so she sent him to school while he was sick.

A pharmacist should be able to order you liquid/chewable vitamin b-2/Riboflavin. I had to have a pharmacists order me Vitamin A when I had a Vitamin A deficiency. ... since an A deficiency is rare they don't sell it over the counter. Your child's pediatrician should be able to write a prescription for the vitamins, and the pharmacist will fill it. I tried looking online for liquid vitamin b-2 and they don't seem to sell it in stores. This is why I suggest going the pharmacist route.

(posting from way back in the thread...)
I remember in the interview with DM, he stated he had a conversation with JH concerning guns in the home. He said with confidence there were none, so I'm assuming JH led him to believe so. So WHY was there still a weapon in the top of the closet? Things that make you go hmmmmmm

I am assuming there were no guns in the house when DM was there. They may have been returned after DM left. Maybe EG took the gun with her when she moved out the 1st time or when she "cleaned" the house before she called the police for Lucas' "disappearance". All she had to do was pack it back up in her handy dandy hefty garbage bag and move it back in with her. Its not a huge gun, it would have been fairly easy to conceal in a backpack or something like that.

The dr says they dont make a liquid/chewable rx in a high enough dose. He needs atleast 100mg and at 8 years old still refuses to even attempt to swallow a pill or capsule. Doctor is still searching though.

First time poster and follower of Lucas since day one. I have the upmost respect for everyone on this thread who spent countless hours searching for Lucas and answers. In trying to figure out JH, IMO, he picks the side that is less painful. For example: LH is missing or Emily disappeared him – he chose missing. JO kidnapped him or Emily disappeared him – he chose JO kidnapped him. LH died in his sleep or Emily disappeared him – he chose waiting for the autopsy because if he died in his sleep it is less painful than knowing Emily disappeared him.

WELCOME !! yes, I think JH picks the less painful, more deniable choice. I have yet to decide my take on him. I feel sad for him, for losing Lucas, his son, as I would anyone who loses a child. On the other hand, I feel he is responsible and knows a lot more than he lets on. Time will tell, hopefully we will get more answers soon.
Im a bit behind reading so trying to catch up !!
Carry on all you wonderful people here for #TEAMLUCAS

I have to crush and hide my sons meds into milk, yogurt or applesauce. He won’t take meds willingly in any form

I don't see any reason for LE to remove the gun from the house during their searches if they didn't suspect it was a potential murder weapon?
I’m not sure about Kansas, but in Texas if you are on bond and waiting on a court date you cannot have a weapon in your possession. So I’m surprise if that weapon was in the home, he wasn’t arrested.

Surprising that the barrel was pointed midline of forehead, with a front to back angle. Would have been difficult to accomplish. I was expecting the barrel under the chin angle.
"Her gunshot wound was “midline of the forehead,” and the path of the bullet was front to back, the report said."

That makes me envision that she set the butt of the gun on the floor and leaned over to rest her forehead against the barrel.

I also thought it would've been chin angled, too. I wonder if she had it wedged between her forehead and the wall? Egads.

What surprises me is he was observant enough to notice and count cig butts on the floor.

When faced with that kind of picture, you pick out the normal parts to focus on and try to remember. I have PTSD from seeing my mom following her suicide. I can remember focusing hard hard hard on her hands because they were the only semi normal looking thing within my line of vision. I could practically draw you every vein on the back of her right hand. Let me assure you though, when the lights are out and the night is still, no matter how much I beg my brain to show me her hands, it refuses. It gives me no peace to know that another human begs to see cigarette butts but is met with a much more horrific sight night after night.

Yes, Jonathan could have and should have done a million times better by Lucas, but I will still never wish mental illness upon anyone.

How wouldn't he have known? Emily's car was in the garage, the television was on, and lights were on in what the kitchen? I wonder who he thought it was if it wasn't Emily?

If it was supposed to be a 'hit' maybe, JH thought, Emily had overpowered the hitman/hitwoman and blew their brains out instead? I don't know? Is it possible that JH stopped at the house to see if the job was done? I guess JH could have left a window/door unlocked, so someone could whack Emily. This case is really F-ed up, so I wouldn't be surprised. I guess.

Because your brain refuses to recognize what you are seeing. My mother died by suicide. An overdose. Completely recognizable, other than coloring, I still had to see certain things to convince myself it was her. There was literally no reason not to believe it was her. Police and a chaplain had already id'd her, the coroner had already id'd her, she had her license on her, she was recognizable... No reason, except my brain said "nope, this cannot be accurate". Somedays, 12 years later, I STILL have to convince myself. People cannot expect logic at times of traumatic experiences. It just does not happen.

Lucas Hernandez autopsy report says cause of death undetermined

The Sedgwick County Coroner has released the autopsy report for 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez.

The coroner has ruled his cause of death as undetermined. The manner of death was also undetermined.

ETA: Apologies for the duplicate post - I can't figure out how to delete! :(
So how does this show that he died in the bathroom and on the 10th or 11th?
Hope Nancy reveals her source for that information.

His charges weren’t felonies and he has no conviction so in Kansas his gun rights would not have been revoked.
