I'm quite concerned and disturbed about this one.
Child's cell phone last know ping location near her home.
She was returning from a neighbors home a few houses away.
Hundreds of volunteers spent the entire day searching the area performing a grid search, as well as a helicopter in the air. The FBI, ATF and Water Patrol have all been called in, and they've been searching ponds and lakes by the home.
I think we've seen in the past how these cell phone pings work. They aren't 100% accurate, but they tend to be close.
What bothers me the most here is the fact that there is a major interstate less than 1/8 mile away from the home and 10's of thousands of strangers driving up and down that road each day.
I certainly hope I am wrong here, but once again the last known ping location was very close to her house (stated to be in a wooded area behind the home). If these pings are fairly close and within an 1/8 of a mile away from where they state they are, that doesn't mean the phone either wasn't dropped on the side of the road, or discarded just off of the roadway.
I hope I am wrong on this, but I have a bad feeling. Even thinking positive here, you have to look at the weather conditions with low 40's again tonight, and this will be the 2nd night. I would also think if the child and wandered away, she would have used her cell phone unless she was injured.
Pray for the best people.
