I don't know if this could be possible...just trying to figure something out like everyone else... but...

Could MD have been involved with a terrorist group in any way, and the funds were being sent to fund that? Could he have been leaving her, and truly did send the money, and use her casino card to point the FBI at her for the terrorist connection? I don't know.

I keep thinking there's some money laundry, gun selling...something we don't know about that enabled him to have that lifestyle. Something threatened the life he knew. Maybe that failed lawsuit for falling. He could have been losing more than winning lately, and while maybe not as financially strapped as some of us are, if others in the family are dependent on his money to survive, and he has this status with the family of being a multimillionaire ... it would crush his image. He wouldn't be able to support his mother, brother, ladyfriend and whoever else. I would imagine falling from that tall horse would be a hard fall.

That makes me go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Gun safes for rifles/long guns can be quite large.

I don't understand why anyone is discussing "machine guns", when every presser by Sherriff Lombardo has talked about the bump-stocks.

None of the LE officials have talked about "machine guns".

Why is anyone here talking about "machine guns"?

AFAIK, the shooter didn't kill anyone with a "machine gun", nor did he possess any "machine guns".

For those of us who are not fond of guns (!) they are machine guns -- unable to ascertain a difference

what is a meaningful difference ?

CARIIS - please know that the definition of a "machine gun" has nothing to do with whether or not one is "fond of guns".

The semi-automatic weapons the shooter fired were altered with what is known as a bump/slide stock.

He didn't own or fire any machine guns. Please don't spread any rumors that he fired/owned machine guns.

We need to stick to the facts - as Sherriff Lombardo has expressed in his press conferences.

I would be careful with this strategy -- you might have visit with ladies and gentlemen in white coats !!

That’s hilarious! I do wave and toot the horn but I don’t really speak to the invisible peeps. My neighbors would have had me carried off some time ago😅

OT Better visit ToyRUs soon CARIIS, they may not be around much longer (bankrupt). If you go through with it, and wear the swat uni while grocery shopping, give us a heads up, so I can watch for you on the evening news. lol

Funny stuff

I can get a going out of business like most of the country sale price!!

a bargain!!

But if i wait I can get a swat team outfit at discount casue the police depts are going bankrupt also!

If I want a real bargain I can wait for a Navy seal outfit -- our cruisers are crashing into ships at an alarming rate!

One fellow gambler at a casino near Paddock’s home recounted a bizarre incident from a few months back when he shared a blackjack table with the shooter.

“He said, ‘I wish I could just go kill my mom. I don’t know why the hell she brought me into this world,’ ” recalled Leo Miller, 85, a regular at the Eureka Casino.

“Everybody at the table couldn’t believe what he said . . . When he was sober, he was nice as anybody. His drinking got to the point where he didn’t even know what the hell he was doing on the table.”

Ex-cop Hope Ahrens, 63, said Paddock and his live-in girlfriend Marilou Danley, 62, stopped in most mornings for coffee and a Krispy Kreme doughnut at her gas station.

Danley would also pick up two cheap bottles of wine for $3 each during the morning stop.

I would not be surprised if Stephen Paddock had some issue with substance abuse.

I know when he made that bizarre remark he was drunk. He sounds like a constant complainer.

During there was some misleading info by sheriff - could just be confusion at the time

but he eagerly announced to the world that his folks "engaged" the subject

how do you engage a dead subject.

It would stand to reason based on his behavior with the security guard that he had been dead for some time in that there was no response when a bunch of cops approached

-The *timeline may be able to give some point of reference on this. The *timeline that came directly from Police recordings-verbatim is the one I recommend looking at. I saw many that were in 3rd person-not the most accurate.

I wouldn't be surprised either. Substance abuse, domestic violence, guns, anger, personality issues. In many ways these guys are all the same guy.

Yup. So true. There is also jealousy and envy.

That makes me go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

-I did wonder if he intentionally wanted to cast doubt about her as the criminal. Setting her up possibly while giving himself the opportunity to flee (if he planned to escape).

"...chose not to drink..."

^ Maybe so.^ Or maybe he was a BYO kinda guy, who planned to drink his usual $3/bottle of wine???

Or the mini bar. I mean he’s not paying for it anyway once he’s dead. The casino mini bars are pretty legit. He could get a very nice buzz off of the mini bar IMO

The concert venue scene where people were murdered is still a crime scene.

Why would anyone expect the media to be allowed in there to take photos at this stage of the investigation?

They took photos of the crime scene in the hotel room and there were scattered bullet casings on the ground. The carpet should have been littered with casings, completely covering the area. There was 3,000 to 4,000 bullets fired but you couldn't tell by the pictures. Where did they go. The trajectory of the fired bullets would be backwards into the room, not outside the window. Once again, very strange.

-Let’s add the orange jumpsuit in for a complete cast and crew of the 21st Century (this is within the context of levity for the moment). Please take no offense to our exchange.

-Yes, did anyone ask LE this question during pressers? That’s an unanswered question for many.

What part makes you go hmmm? I find it extremely hard to believe if MD was associated with terrorists that shed willingly come back to the US.

Also - regarding the post you quoted, so this is not directed at you - the killer tried to sue the cosmo for only $10k. Def not threatening to him if he lost the suit IMO

I wonder if there is any Stephen Paddock handwriting.

There are so many unanswered questions.

-Did you see the statement from the brother that said SP enjoyed $500 glasses of Port? In my opinion it would seem fitting for him to not be inebriated so that he could be in complete control. JMO

Wasn't the lawsuit for $100,000?
