Just saw this update via twitter:

@ToledoFreePress:
"Steven King's trial date of Nov 4 was pushed to Dec 9 pending a final cause of death report for #babyelaina & possible additional charges."
snipped by me

While I'm not surprised that the cause of death report is necessary before moving on to SK's trial, I was heartened to see that "possible additional charges" are being considered in his case. My hope is that he is not the only person who may face more charges in connection with the mistreatment of Elaina during the last day of her life and the subsequent disrespect shown that sweet child after her tragic death.

Perhaps it was her attorney's mention of potentially more charges coming her way that, as CC noted upthread, wiped the smirk from AS's face.

Last she said, she wants to be a witch. Unless she's changed her mind again, lol.

Well the nieces have changed their mind and one is going as a kitten and the other as a creature from Monster High. My son is going as a Zombie so I expect to get lots of strange looks tomorrow when I have them out. Kids ...

Happy Halloween to little K! :)
May the heaviest burden you carry today be a giant sack of sugary sweets !

She changed her mind to be someone from Monster High, but I don't know who.

Hope K had a great time. I changed my profile pic to a pic of my 3 from tonight. Pebbles quit early and my mom kept her. Katy kept going until she could no longer carry her own bag.

My 1st grader was Spectra from Monster High this year. The white face makeup was a challenge. I thought of K literally all throughout our adventure last night on their quest for candy.

Her big sister was a 5th grade sized tween girl Darth Vader, wendiesan! It was quite a night.

"In Lucas County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday, attorney Pete Rost asked the court to postpone the Nov. 4 trial of his client, Steven King II, on a charge of obstructing justice because he anticipates the report will lead to additional charges being filed against Mr. King relating to the homicide of Elaina Steinfurth."

Sounds like even SK's attorney knows he's guilty of more than obstruction. JMO

My one year old was too sick to go out. My 7 year old Mario and I were soaked! Was a nasty misty rain that went sideways. Poor K probably had to go out in the same yucky weather being that Toledo is not more than an hour from here. Hope she had a wonderful time! And hope all of my WS friends had a great time with their kiddos and families as well :)

Actually, the Toledo mayor decided to change trick or treat hours to Sunday evening instead due to the crappy weather that was being predicted.

Wow! Did not know they can do that, very nice!

There are some pics of Elaina just posted on the FB page of her eating her 1st birthday cupcake. She looks so precious and is really enjoying that cupcake! Breaks my heart all over again......

Just love Halloween. I so appreciate the problem of white makeup. One Halloween, when my daughter was a young teen, she wanted to dress up as the Ghostbusters symbol. Clown white is hard to put on, hard to take off, and even harder to get off black clothing unrelated to the costume. Not only that, but I had to wire up her ponytail so it was vertical except for a little bit that flipped over at the end (think classic Martha Graham) before spraying all her hair white. Trickier yet--spray painting hula hoops red and drying them with a hair dryer, then hooking them together with a diagonal band over her body, sandwich board style.

We were laughing about it on Halloween just after she told me the ladybug costume was too small for her 18 month old daughter. To replace it, she'd bought a beautiful glittery witch costume. The baby began screaming when we tried to get the dress on her. The hat didn't last a second. She wailed like only a budding diva can. We caved, and I packed up the costume for their ride home. Apparently when they got home, and she saw the witch dress just sitting on a chair, my granddaughter walked over, grabbed it, and threw it into a corner. Long story short, her brother's old costume was resurrected and our four year old Darth Vader escorted Kermit the Frog around the neighbourhood. So kimi, between our families, the universe is in good hands indeed.

Ferretmommy, it's great to hear that the Mayor of Toledo has the power to change the holiday dates so the kids in your city can enjoy dressing up and building fabulous and funny memories. And, I hope he made that declaration in costume. May the force be with him so good weather prevails and you, little K, and all your family can share some smiles, some laughs, and some sugary treats.

Happy Halloween part 2 baby girl K ! :)

Sure is quiet around here. I hope that means family is having some peace, some quiet days, some regular days :)

BREAKING: Death of Elaina Steinfurth ruled a homicide. Injuries consistent with "non-accidental trauma." Girl had multiple broken bones.

OMG :( ........... Nooooooooooooooo
Why did I imagine it might have been one swift injury and no suffering.
Freaking scumbuckets. Please DA have the evidence to lock these sick
demons up forever . Please !

I don't want FM to see this news . I don't want them to know it and how
fantasy based is that? Wishing they do not have to hear or know this news?
:( I'm so sorry baby Elaina .

I hope all of the inmates anywhere near SK and AS hear this news and soon !

Oh Elaina :( poor little girl.

No mention of skull fractures though, which is a bit of a surprise with the other injuries.

I just got the Google alert about the cause of death and I'm just bawling. I was so hoping that she didn't suffer. I just don't have words for how I feel right now but someone please tell me how that baby suffered so horribly in a HOUSE FULL OF PEOPLE and nobody knew. Every adult in that home needs to be charged. I hope they are haunted by her cries and sad eyes every damn day for the rest of their worthless lives.

I am so sorry FM. I wish your family could have been spared this news. I guess we should be grateful they were able to determine a cause of death so that justice can be had but I wish it didn't bring with it even more pain.
