The way JM had to battle to get an answer for question 15 on the test was ridiculous. But then you notice that the question relates to how she actually felt at the exact time of the murder, you understand why he doesn't want to answer. She's supposed to be in her fog then, so how can she remember the exact feelings she had right at that very moment.

ETA:- She indicated she was upset for her answer.

I wonder if her answer was anger. Geff really doesn't want to say what her precise feeling was, just that it was a feeling. JMO

The way Beth has it phrased though it sounds as if Karp's test was 'some of the time' and Geffner's was 'never'. I've re-read it like 50 times because it doesn't make sense she'd revert. She also changed from some of the time to all of the time for Travis demanding sex.

She has said numerous times sex was consensual....so how can she backtrack on this now??

BK notes. The 2 tests. For the 1st, JA was asked to look back and remember her feelings, then respond to questions. Then she took it again, prompted by notes Geff had handwritten in the first test, this time pretending how she felt in the present.

Can a professional mental health expert not see how RIDICULOUS that is? You ask the patient to take a test and 'pretend' she is answering years ago, when things were different? LOL what a crock.

As for that argument over push & shove.....On an answer to a question JA answered "push, shove against walls. Geffner answered that "push" doesn't apply because there was a comma after it

Nurmi and Wilmott don't call anyone licensed in Arizona to testify but instead hire three randoms who are all friendly with each other. Not suspicious at all.

Apparently in CA the exam for becoming any sort of specialist consists of:
1. Mark an "X" next to the certification(s) you wish to receive.
2. Include a check payable to "State of California" for $500 per "X". (We have calculators available if you need one.)
3. Put an "X" on the line that says "Signature". (Do not include that "X" among the ones costing $500.)
4. Stand in line and hand the form and check to a clerk who will print your certificate(s).

That's where all the defense "experts" come from.

Remember he said she was 'dissociative and detatched' when he was analyzing her.

Today it is paying off to be a member of her site. She is no nonsense. Just reports what they are saying. On normal days, I enjoy all the tweets and comments from everyone. But I agree that today it appears the media is not interested in tweeting what's really happening in the courtroom. Makes it hard to follow.

I think it's because there has been too much information in such a short period of time & that makes it impossible to cover everything by tweet.

Re the motion to preclude witness - 'The defendant cannot be put to death on evidence she is not aware' - Oh she knows exactly what Abe is going to say. And as for the 'eleventieth hour witness name' - how about your witness list that is still secret to this day, Mr. Nurmi??

This has been dynamite today. Geffner's cross has destroyed pretty much every defense witness.
- Earlier Juan questioned Geff about having his expertise chunked in the trash in other trials.
- Now they know he's an unlicensed, out of state hack, who doctored up exams and lied about it.
- He offers pathetic excuses for everything that's off script, which is almost everything in evidence.
- Depending on how much got in about the coded messages, the jury is going to think her secret witnesses are part of an illegal scheme.
- And it's all been so transparent to the jury that now every time Jen objects, they will immediately think, "Ooh. Something else to hide."

Good luck rehabilitating him and the rest of your case Jen, especially when the jury is going to tune your surrebuttal out.

What if the state's 21st list states: "We have a witness who has recently come forward with critical information, but this person fears for his/ner life and needs to testify without revealing his/her identity. Since the secret defense witnesses are using numbers, let's use letters and call him/her Witness AA -- I mean witness A."

Wonderful post! Thanks!
