I don't think so! The only thing the defense accomplished with this was establishing (or forcing the point) that JA didn't have a gun or knife in her hand when she took that last photo of TA's face in the shower. There's nothing that says that she couldn't have picked it up in the minute(s) that followed. Premeditation is going to have more to do with the events leading up to her trip to Mesa, IMO.

ALV was not in court today. There was a meeting to decide how to proceed tomorrow when they finish up with her. She told the judge on Friday that she might have follow up tests on Tuesday and the judge told her she did not need to know her personal issues that she was to be in court on Tuesday. The Judge also told her to make "preparations" for Tuesday. We can take that for what it's worth. Unless they decided today not to proceed with her tomorrow we should see her first thing. The jury is of the opinion she will be there tomorrow and the judge did not tell them she had been excused so I'm guessing she will be there.

The judge said they would have the sealed hearing with ALV at 1:15 before they recessed for lunch.

I think with the defense they chose, she just about had to testify. They really couldn't explain the abuse and the self defense without her.

I'm glad she did because it's rare to get to hear from a genuine psychopath for days on end in a murder trial. Even though the nurmi managed to make it boring, cross was well worth waiting for.

Agree. she was basically forced to testify after offering an affirmative, self- defense. "Yes, I did it, but this is why..."

Jodi had two weapons for one of three reasons.
1) there was someone else there or
2) she wanted to create the illusion there was someone else there or
3) she used the gun just to 'hold him at bay' then used the knife because it was quieter. The gun really might've gone off accidentally in the struggle. Who knows.

I had thought that she was in closed court today which is basically what the delay today was. So she wasn't there just the attny's?

I remembered about Tues, just had seen reported today she was actually there.

The DT didn't know until this afternoon whether their witness would testify or not. They argued about that for quite awhile, I would think.

I expect them to rest at the beginning of court tomorrow and then we'll start rebuttal.

Couldn't be soon enough for me. I was afraid we would have to listen to a/v specialist testify. I'm glad Juan saved the tax payers the cost.

Although I did find Nurmi quite entertaining in his earlier motions. Haven't laughed like that in a while. I so badly want to say what it reminded me of, but don't want a timeout.

I agree that he is disrespectful. He also made a comment that her idea that the jury isnt watching the trial is 'fantasy'. Also, noticed that he tells her what to do a lot. JW seems to ask and wait for an answer. Nurmi seems a little jealous of JM's rockstar status.

Juanderful is so cool and smooth. When the defense starts whining to approach he goes up, leans against the judges bench with his hands in his pockets like yeah ok defense, cry a little more.

But she was not there. She neither entered or left the courtroom. ALV said Friday she had a doctor's appointment on Monday. This is why they were doing it on Tuesday. The sealed meeting was to present both sides, defense and prosecution to whatever issue there is with ALV. It is obviously a big one because JM made reference to it. ALV is suppose to be there in court tomorrow and the judge asked her to make whatever "preparations" she needed to but to be there. We have not heard that has changed. ALV has not be excused.

You all say you see fear in his eyes, I thought so too at first.
What I honestly see is a sad realization that his end is emminent. He knew she was capable, but I think he was hoping it wouldnt come to pass. He also had been praying for protection in recent days, probably from her.
