MN does plainly say ICA wil take the stand. He says, "I bet she will."

Wandering away from my own place of logic, I can see this happening with some big unveiling of ....what? She has to say something so big it'll explain why she lied, why she waited 31 days, why she didn't tell anybody, and how Caylee ended up in trash bags so close to the house. She'll have to answer to the lying to LE, dancing, tattooing, I'm lost, but I think this bus must be headed towards her parents.

On the thread on Mark Nejame becoming legal analyst for WKMG, a poster stated that MN stated back in December 2008 that there would be a bombshell in this case and everyone would be shocked. Perhaps, Casey will get on the stand and reveal some sort of shocking news. But, with her reputation of lying, who would believe her?

That poster was me. I remember wrapping my Christmas gifts that had to be mailed and watching the coverage of Caylee's body being found. I wish I knew what television channel it was, but it was via computer as I live in upstate NY. MN was clear as day, something shocking will be revealed, can't wait.

Thanks Moe! I've read so many posts I couldn't remember exactly who posted about Mark Nejame's comments about a bombshell and something shocking revealed.

I'm very intrigued by the possibility of some sort of bombshell in this case. There's been some strange things said in this case that allude to something that's being kept secret. In one jailhouse visit, Casey said, "don't worry I haven't told them anything", and in another jailhouse visit Lee asked, "is this like the last time?" In both cases there could be a simple explanation, but Lee's question, in particular, has always bothered me.

I do not remember MN saying that. Are you sure?

I personally feel that when a defendant takes the stand that...strike that! I feel that when a defendant does not take the stand that it leans more towards guilt. I try and pull this from my own feelings that if I were accused of something I did not do I would not go down silently. Although everything seems to point towards KC's guilt I suppose it is the most credible of all the defense theories so far even if she will fall square on her face. :dunno::confused:

Could he have been referring to the duct tape? Or possibly something else that was found at the scene? I found the duct tape to be disturbingly shocking.

Casey getting on the stand will most likely be unsuccessful. I know people get soft when they entertain an accident, but that ship sailed a long time ago.

Slightly OT - Being curious, I searched for cases where the defendent got on the stand. Surprised me when I found a recent Florida case. Defense puts Emilia Carr on stand in a murder trial. It didn't work out. She had turned down a DP plea deal. Emilia Carr now resides on Florida's Death Row.

ITA! IF I were accused of something so heinous as murdering my child, there is NO WAY I would have sat silently in jail for 3 YEARS!!!! I would have been raising cain a long time ago! Of course, I also would NOT have lied, or waited 31 days, or partied, got tattoos, etc, etc. I think we can rest assured that ICA lied, didn't report, and has sat in jail for 3 years fantasizing about babies with Irish accents and RV trips to the beach because she is indeed guilty as charged and has nothing truthful that she can say. moo

ICA taking the stand..
at that moment the courtroom would be so electrified..every hair in the courtroom will be standing straight out..
Hopefully all the dandylion heads will relieve the tension, or my lil heart might pop.
If ICA has memorised an imaginovel in her head to recite to us, it should be a doosie. She's had 3 years of lounging in bed on her comfy 2 inch mattress. Room service, escort to the spa shower, as well as a job as Post -it Wrangler during field trips to the Courthouse.
End of hallway.
Justice for Caylee Marie
Amen.

I think the DT is in a really tough, impossible position if they want to distance themselves from the nanny story. How can they possibly do that without putting Casey on the stand?

Virtually EVERY witness was told about Zanny and it is included in all of the initial LE statements and interviews, the 911 calls, and in all of the witness depositions.

They will have to address it. And by addressing it, I mean, substitute a new scenario for the old one. All the state has to do is ask the defense 'WHERE was the baby on the night of june 16th, when Casey went to Blockbuster with Tony? They need a new answer or Casey will fry.

Maybe GA is Caylee's father??? That would explain disassociation with pregnancy; perhaps explain a lot of things. I know this has been mentioned before and discounted but wouldn't it be a huge bombshell????

Depending on who actually knew it prior or at what time they knew it, yes, a bombshell. I think that has crossed many a mind in 3 yrs. The dissassociation I chalked up to CA being the more forceful/meddlesome one to take over the mother role. 2 women battling who was the mother - I say white, you say black type of thing. Not sticking up for ica, but I do wonder how much of a hold her parents had over her and why. Maybe this is it.

Just wanted to nip this in the bud before it goes any further. While it would be a bombshell, that is untrue.

Caylee's DNA tests preclude GA being the father. I am about to step out but when I come back I will see if I can find the conversation where a WSer (maybe AZ?) analyzed the data and put that one to bed. (ETA: I see Oakley got there first! Thank you Oakley! :seeya:)

I agree with posters who suggest that the bombshell that MN was referring to back in December 2008 was the duct tape. At this point I think/hope we are just about out of bombshells! It's time for KC to face the music. And not that bomp-chicka-bomp-bomp stuff she was dancing to at Fusian either...

I doubt she will take the stand, but I think her restless vanity, and her sneering, arrogant fabulism that ignores the fact she is the defendant in a horrible, capital murder case and instead has her apparently fantasising that she is an integral part of a winning legal team, and her cruel boredom with anyone else's suffering coupled with her heartfelt emotion for herself, and her written, texted, blogged, taped and tattooed words will testify, and testify very devastatingly.

I love this post because it describes exactly what I think about Casey. She makes me sick the way she acts in court -- acting as if she is some important part of the defense team instead of an inmate/criminal who is about to be tried for murder... ugh! All her little notetaking, face-making, etc... again, ugh!! I think Casey probably WANTS to take the stand because she thinks she is so damn clever, but I think Baez is going to strongly suggest she not do that. I think she'll end up taking her lawyer's advice. I'd love to see her on the stand, though... getting ripped up by the prosecution.

There was speculation on this early in the case. DNA was taken from each member of the Anthony family, and it's been proven that neither GA or LA is the father of Caylee.

Yep, one of two woman on DR...maybe ICA might be added, shortly!

Good read, CuriousMe...this woman claims innocence but she was bragging to the sister of her codefendant...Glad the jurors saw through her and gives me hope the same will happen with ICA..:loser:

I have always believed that ICA "will" take the stand ... of course, I could be wrong ... but I have always believed she will want to be the "Star of the Show" ...

According to jail visitation records, there has been an increase in recent visits by attorneys at the jail for ICA.

:waitasec::waitasec:

I wonder if they are "prepping" ICA to take the stand ?

See link below :

ETA: I don't think these attorneys would be spending time discussing her wardrobe or hair ...

I wonder if she will admit guilt early in the trial. The evidence of guilt, IMO, is overwhelming and the mitigation attorneys are spending a lot of time with her lately.
