Just a quick thought. Does the state even need the dog testimony? The dog did not find anything, so what is the point of it? Caylee was found behind the house not in the yard? Maybe I am missing the point of all of this??

I don't think the cholorform will be allowed in trial. The A's have a pool, they could have chlorine or chlorine tabs in the back of the car at some point.

It shows a step by step of what possibly occurred or what the State will present at trial. Child died, child was placed in car, child decomposed in car, child was placed in backyard still decomposing - no remains found, child eventually found just down the road.

I wonder what the SA would give Jb for christmas if he would put ICA on the stand?

Let's all go in on a huge group gift if he will do that!

Last night, I was thinking that after this trial is over, I am going to send a Thank You card to the LDB and team. Seriously. They are top notch and they deserve to be recognized.

Great Idea, I'm gonna send mine with a Outback gift Certificate, they can all go out and have a nice meal and relax. They will need it. I know we are not allowed to ask for stuff here on WS, but if it is OK with the mod's maybe we can all set something up for after the trial from all of us at WB. Thoughts?...

Why did Baez want to treat Officer Forgey? as a hostile witness? I missed it. Baez was about to put me to sleep droning on and on.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's defense team is back in court Thursday to try to get the judge to toss key evidence out of her upcoming trial.
BAEZ ADMONISHED: Baez Unhappy With Witness
http://www.wftv.com/video/27307453/index.html

After finishing their discussion of a motion regarding canine/cadaver dog evidence, Thursday’s hearing will focus on tests done on Casey's car trunk that showed evidence of human decomposition.

Finally caught up!

Wow. Jose has NO IDEA about dogs. Dog urine is one of the smelliest things on earth. ANYONE would be distracted by it if they ever smelled it, and believe me, I know..

I commend Borgey for his testimony thus far. He is really standing up for those dogs that Baez keeps trying to trash. I hope Baez never has to make use of cadavers dog in his own life in any way because he acts like they aren't needed at all. How wrong, wrong, WRONG he is. They know what they smell a thousand times more than any human. If something is wrong here, it's not the dogs.

Baez makes me SO MAD. You know what Dog spelled backward is, don't you, Baez? Just sayin'. I bet if one was in court, it would be growling and barking at ICA the whole time. Dogs know when they are in the presence of evil.

I'll be sending over a little memento from oz - haven't worked out what yet but after 3 years it's been a long long road to travel down. I wonder how they feel, if they are bone tired or anything? Or does the injustice of what was done to Caylee give them the strength to go on?

Been awhile! Hi Everyone...

KC is driving me absolutely nuts. She is not acting like an innocent mother in anyway, shape or form. Really! She is so absorbed in her new hobby: Paralegal here I come/student of the year. Seriously. . . I know the jury will see this as it's so apparent (to me).

As of Jose.... well ....

I'm a long-time lurker and have hardly ever posted, but it is so time for my first official rant!

I understand it's the defense's job to, well, defend their client...but I really do not understand how they can sleep at night after spending entire work-days coming up with every outlandish crazy scenario they can think of to explain away the facts. Maybe someone “cut their skin” in the back yard at some point in history and the dogs were alerting to that? Maybe there was urine or a lost baby tooth somehow deposited there? Well ok, maybe. But we're talking about rigorously-trained animals certified to be reliable at finding scents that come only from human decomposition...and we're talking about them alerting near a back yard playhouse were a precious, beautiful little girl once laughed and played. None of us really know whether a deceased body was ever in the back yard, and since “the dogs can't testify,” we don't know exactly what they detected. But unlike many of the human players in this sad, sad case, the dogs have no propensity or ability to lie. I can't help but feel like it's hugely disrespectful, especially the victim herself, to suggest the alerts happened because of some inane trivial thing that had nothing to do with a death. JMO and rant over...thank you for being here Websleuths. :)

There will certainly be justice for Caylee.

He was listed as a witness for both sides and I think as he was getting the better of Baez (not hard to do) then Baez tried to convince the Judge he was an adverse or hostile witness - what happens if/when this were to occur I don't know - hopefully one of the lawyers can step in and answer. I presume Baez was thinking the witness was not responsive or cooperative enough for his liking.

are they doing the trunk liner this afternoon? cause I need to start drinking now or something if that's the case. I'm not gonna be able to handle it and see ICA NOT reacting is going to really be too much.

Actually, it was quite silly. He said that since the witness was listed by the State, he was hostile. OMG.
If he needs a definition of hostile witness....ummmm.....just look at the defendant's parents. Just sayin.

While we are waiting, do we know if LE took soil samples of where the dog hit in the backyard?

Or not giving him the answer(s) he wanted to hear. I thought better of listening to him. He's doing the same thing Sims was doing, straying from the point of the questioning and lingering on minute details, which would be better left for examination at trial, not Frye Hearings. Caught the last part where HHJP cut him off mid-sentence. lol! Good for Judge P.
