WHAT??? what was that announcement by JP about funding for the court through May????

There had been a concern that the county would run out of money for the courts at the end of April. Causing a shutdown of the courts. HHJP had been in Tallahassee lobbying for more funding earlier in the week. The Governor just signed off on floating a loan to keep the courts operating till the end of May. June 1 is the new budget year so they are fully funded from there.

In other words KC will NOT be getting a delay due to lack of court funding.

Did anyone notice LDB with her head in her hands looking down like she couldn't take it anymore? I also noticed that the judge is strating to show a lot more facial expression when dealing with the DT. He is also making sympathetic eye contact with the SA. I hope Amil is there to give us the usual courtroom feel.

Funding granted through May - not into June. This trial is not going to be over by the end of May. My guess is that they would request funding each month? I can't see them just shutting down the trial in the middle of it!

My understanding is the new fiscal year begins in June, so funding was not an issue after May.

HHJP just called a recess. Apparently he received some word regarding the funding from the state.

I was confused at first too but then figured out they are talking about (at least right now so far)
