Defense attorney Dorothy Clay Sims questioned one of her team's experts, Dr. Barry Logan, for most of the day. Logan admitted that his opinions are coming from reading research papers and not from doing the work.


Anthony's defense suggested that Caylee Anthony's wet bathing suit in the trunk could cause a positive finding for chloroform in the air in the trunk of Casey's car.

"I'd like you to presume Caylee Anthony went swimming June 2, 2008, in Tony Lazarro's pool and that her mother put a wet bathing suit in the trunk of her car," Sims said to Logan.

"There are numerous papers that document chloroform in chlorinated swimming pools," Logan said.

I'm not a legal person but I think it is his usual practise to do his own research on the issues at hand then decide, normally after several days of consideration.
