I think Mr. Baez has been taking some really bad legal advice from someone about how to approach this witness testimony.

I'm not sure what the 2 days ago is - but this guy did his expert report in Feb of this year. Maybe Baez just called him in two days ago to testify.
But his work was done on this case months ago. Multiple conversations and emails with Baez.
No excuse at all for what just went down.
I love it when Baez is caught red-handed! We can see he's bent, but I love it when the court officially recognizes it.
While he is ruling, HHJP is protecting the integrity of the trial, the appellate court and sidestepping an ineffective counsel charge.

Right, but my point was that it's not this witnesses fault that he's unaware the video guy (forget his qualifications and title) wasn't saying the video PROVED how the duct tape moved during decomp. Dr. R isn't following all the testimony in the case, I'm guessing. He's asked to render his opinion based on what Baez TELLS him and the reoprts he reads, kwim?

Well this should be interesting. I heard a TH saying yesterday that with all of the interviews Dr. Spitz has been doing, he certainly gave the state a huge heads up on how he will testify.

I think the excuse of JB's inexperience is overused - CM is right there - he knows better and certainly should be advising JB - but he's as slimy as JB :deadhorse:

Well, this isn't the first time that Baez has rode this rodeo bull either.

His other murder trial that he lost when he first took Casey on, he has been accused of "trial by ambush" in that case.

So, this judge was right on with making both sides do things by the book, and more so, in regards to Baez.
Perry already had Baez's resume and his bag of tricks.

the state is bringing this all on themselves. they should remove the death penalty charge.
that would untie the judges hands.
state does not have the evidence to prove a dealth penalty charge, and they know it
